Well, Happy Easter to Believers (few and far between in my friends' list I Believe.)

I'm bringing some positivity as the Dark Christ Rises for a special episode of The Walking Dead (I'm really mixing my pop-culture references here.)
The coming week could be a very, very good one, and if I don't get my hopes up exceedingly high, it could be just another week, which in my present circumstances would be okay too.
But ideally. I got a message from this woman Pat again, at a little cabin-on-the-lake resort where I applied for work a couple weeks ago. I have an informal interview there tomorrow. I'm excited, as I was when I first applied there...I'm not sure if I even covered that here. But it's eight miles from the house (so I can get rides from JD and his wife; obtaining a Michigan license has turned into an ordeal expensive both in time and money), and has a little adjoining country store and restaurant. I'd prefer to work in the country store, but if the job means learning to cook, which Pat mentioned was a possibility, I'm all for it.
Also, The AV Club is looking for paid contributors to submit items for their newswire and Great Job, Internet! departments. So I'm writing out some samples to submit, and though this prospect is more of a long-shot, I relish the ambition I'm feeling at present.
I also set up a new blog, about books and their authors and related information. I'm thinking of opening it up to submissions from fellow bibliophile friends, so if you're big on books and might want to contribute, let me know.
Lastly, I have something of a new internet girlfriend, a girl I know from back in Illinois, who's been making me feel pretty nice in the past couple of days, and vice versa. How she may figure into my future is up in the air but at present the attention and affection in both directions are pleasing.
And that's about all I have to report. I'm still waiting anxiously for spring in the U.P. Recent developments fit well into the season. I'd like some literal sunshine in my life though.
