I've been away for a little while, not like i'm here that often anyways. but I moved to a new place. finally got my own house. been a crazy week that I couldn't have gotten through without some very good friends. if you want to know who your best friends are, tell all your friends that you are moving and see which ones offer to help and then see which ones show up. lots of boxes yet to unpack. gonna be a long week but a fulfilling one.

so, today, i'm gonna go watch Skyfall at 1140 then Django Unchained at 250 and then come home and drink. all by myself. merry fucking christmas.
so, i've never been into drugs. well, the illegal ones. i just never was. i always had money to do things and my friends who were into drugs, mainly weed, acid and a little coke, never had money. i was always more in to going out to concerts, movies, travelling and they never could. i move into adulthood and, there were always chances, but i never partook. the few times where i even had a notion of trying any substances, i had a job that had random drug tests and mandatory drug tests any time there was an injury and i was always injury prone.
now, i'm over 30, hair down to the middle of my back, generally have a righteous beard, if i do say so myself, and people don't believe me when i say i've never even tried anything, especially when they hear my knowledge on alcohol(mainly whisk(e)y). it's not that it bothers me, i just think it's an odd thing to not believe.

i don't post here and it doesn't matter because most don't read it when i do. i've thought about this alot before, but i don't feel that i really fit in here. i'm somewhere between the young crowd(early 20s) and the geezers(near 40). it's odd and normal at the same time. i don't really fit in anywhere. work. here. family. friends. i know alot of it is my outlook on people(pessimist and misanthrope), and that i'm a heavier guy(near 300lbs), long hair(past the middle of my back), bearded, tattooed, metal head, single, no kids, over 30 and single(no prospect of a relationship). i'm not happy about being lonely, but i'm used to it. it's hard to find someone near my age and mentality who doesn't have kids. who can take care of their self. who isn't into partying every weekend. i know that i'll continue on this path, alone and i will keep losing friends as i go. be it to relationships or death. i've contemplation suicide frequently and i've had friends and family fear for my safety but i'll never go that way. honestly, i'm too afraid of dying to go that route. so i'll keep on keepin on and probably die early, alone, of some health problem that won't be a surprise to anyone. but for now, i'm gonna have a drink, sit here and listen to some music and dread another week of work and fake smiles.
getting a little agitated. i don't envy waking up early, but i envy the privileges of working 1st shift. working 2nd, as i do, i have to be at work by 3pm and we work till we are done with our scheduled work. could be as early as 11pm, could be as late as 2am or even later.
it gets really rough trying to have an active life, especially when we work consecutive saturdays. feels like life passes by and it doesn't even look back.

Motley Crue may have finished their Las Vegas residency, but the band’s presence will now be a permanent fixture in Sin City, as Crue singer Vince Neil plans to open a Sin City strip club called ‘Girls, Girls, Girls.’
Neil recently spoke with the Las Vegas Sun about his well-documented passion. “It’s something I always wanted to do,” says the Crue frontman. “So it’s like a dream come true. But this will be different and unique. It will be the first rock ‘n’ roll strip joint. It was a business opportunity to become a partner that was too good to pass up.”
In case you aren’t sold on the idea, allow Vince Neil to further describe the establishment. “First, the girls will be edgier. Tattoos won’t be banned. They will look like they stepped out of a music video. Hot, provocative and edgy. Second, the music isn’t going to be boring. None of that house, generic strip club music. This will be full on rock and roll.”
Neil continues, “I know what guys want in sexy girls, and we’ll have more than enough of that. I’m going to orchestrate the sexiest girls in town. I’ve always wanted to have a strip club, and this one is going to be the best there is. I’m going to be there to guarantee that. Girls, Girls, Girls will be really Hot, Hot, Hot!”
Although there has been no grand opening date announced yet, Vince Neil is already pitching a reality show that focuses on putting together the club as well as exploring the behind the scenes exploits of the lovely ladies of ‘Girls, Girls, Girls.’

just got back home from my 4th concert of the year. drove 3 hours to cleveland to see Trivium and In Flames. Kyng(really dug their sound. nice swagger to it) and Veil of Maya(talented, but to technical for me) opened the show. Trivium sounded fucking amazing. this was the 5th time i have seen them and i have to say, it was one of the best performances i have ever seen from them. only complaint was that they didn't play Gunshot to the Head of Trepidation. In Flames somehow sounded even better. i've been listening to them on and off for many years, although i could probably only name a handful of songs and i actually have 4 cds of theirs. amazing show from In Flames. only complaint was that the singer talked.....A LOT! didn't seem like they played many songs considering they were on stage for about 90 minutes. still, a kick ass show. always cool talking music with random people in line and at the show before the bands play.
on a side note, if you're ever in cleveland and you're hungry, i highly recommend going to Fat Head's Brewery and Saloon. some of the best food i have ever had. it was the 3rd time i have been there and they do not disappoint. the selection of their hand crafted beers helps too. such a kick ass place.
well, so far, i've seen Lamb of God in Richmond, VA(their home town), Machine Head in Columbus, OH, the Gigantour in Detroit, MI(i went just to see Motorhead) and Trivium & IN FLAMES in Cleveland, OH....total driving time is around 32 hours, all by myself. probably go see Devildriver in Columbus on march 25. should kick ass

i really want to set something on fire
so, my birthday was monday. set out for a road trip sunday. drove over 1000 miles in 3 days. went from home to richmond, va just to see Lamb of God start their new tour in their home town. got myself a nice hotel room almost across the street at the hilton gardens. amazing show. monday, drove to columbus, oh. hung out with my sister for supper. she was awesome and paid. watch some movies with her and her boyfriend. hardball(good) and warrior(awesome). chilled tuesday in columbus til the afternoon. machine head headlined a show. killer time. the only down side was that i didn't really spend time with any of my friends. dude i work with was at the machine head show. seen him across the room.
the experience was very cool in some ways. got to see 2 of my favorite bands around my birthday. but the experience was also very bad in that i made that trip by myself. about a 10 hour drive to richmond, 7.5 hours to columbus and then 1.5 hour drive home after the show tuesday night. something unsettling about that. i've got 2 more shows i'm going to by myself coming up soon. gigantour(megadeth, motorhead, volbeat) in michigan(feb 9) and in flames & trivium in cleveland(feb 13). will be interesting.
i need some new friends that kick ass and can/want to go to shows
