New Year New City New People New Coast.
It's some strange being with the ocean on the left. All my life it's been on my right, just off to the east. I suppose it still is, there's just a lot of land between me & it now.

I just spent a half an hour looking through old hopeful pics as my mind was on self-shot sets and this one always stuck out to me as a great self-shot set. I really liked the lighting in particular but everything about it is great.
I also ran in to a couple other sets that are still lingering there that I liked: Harlequin's Bench Romance I always really liked, this set by Lane is great (Lane is great), this girl, though sometimes blurry has some of the cutest breasts ever, Mojave here is easily a front-page quality set, this is just really hot, and this set is also pretty great.
I remember from back then that I really liked Lovebird's stuff, and I also think I remember really liking a girl who did a set in a furnished attic? That was a while ago.

P.S. KillianKills was also a favorite of mine, and it's been neat seeing which 'hopeful' sets are now 'SG review'.

P.P.S. yesssss this one was great. I've got Regina Spektor's The Sailor Song stuck in my head now though...
It is a little sad to see several sets by the same person in review when I thought they really ought to of had at least one of their sets bought.

MY FUCKING HANDS ARE ON FIRE.

I just washed, halved, and seeded a whole bunch of hot peppers, presently drying in the oven. The seeds are drying along side them in a separate dish because I wanted to see what it'd be like to keep the seeds portioned away from the peppers. I expect ground dried seeds will be hot.

I'm also simmering some chicken stock, which makes me feel often. I might actually just use this stock as soup because it is pretty damn tasty right now. There was some meat left on the bones I threw in that I didn't feel like picking off, so it's pretty delicious.

I'm actually considering going out for supper, though, because I just got some money I wasn't expecting and don't feel like cleaning up enough to make spaghetti and I don't want just soup for supper and really it's been a while since I've had something tasty from a sub shop.

Man it is 6:30 AM why am I awake it is 6:30 in the morning.

My knees are getting better which is improving my mood most of the time. I fixed my bike and now can bike again, just in time for what looks like the first snow to stick this year. I haven't baked anything in almost a month. Thursday there's a potluck/party, I will try these chocolate-stuffed-with-peanut-butter cookies I've been meaning to make for a vegan friend I owe a favour to.

oh god it's 6:32 I've got class in four hours what am I doing

So I made the zine about baking, I made a bunch of pastries, cookies, and bread and sold it inside the hip dance club at one in the afternoon to the adorable ladies who work there. Excellent.
Also I've made plenty of croissant and danish pastry since saying I'd try it (croissant was my best seller at the zine fair). Hand-made fresh croissant made with butter not shortening is amazing. Amazing. I'm so happy with it, and the amount of work isn't that much, if you plan out your time making it and have other things to do (bread, cookies, tarts) over the six hours it takes to make.

I've been in near constant pain for the last week or so whenever I've tried to use my legs. Something's fucked with my knees, it hurts if I stand or walk or bike or anything. Probably side effect of the cross-country road trip in the back of a mini-cooper.
Things learnt: don't hurt yourself out of spite for others, and if your body complains, listen to it instead of subjecting it to the same treatment for ten days.
Man I am looking forwards to seeing the doctor again Monday.
