As im sure everyones heard about the riots, where i live i was in the middle of it all its a disgrace soo angry about this. There are underlying causes theres no doubt, but there is no excuse now our economy is going to be even worse then it previously was.
For thoose who claim "we getting back at the rich" all you have done is made it worse for the working class and made tons of people lose their jobs, buisnesses and homes!!

If I find out I know anyone who took part best belive I will lock you off and give you a peice of my mind.
the last few of my days has been spent worrying about my friends and family and staying indoors. Even though its relatively safe right now i have not ventured out as I can't bare to see what they have done to my home town that I have lived in for my whole life.
Just downright disgusting i will write a more indepth blog when I have time and am calm.

For all thoose who are standing up against these "gangsters" you have my utter most respect.
lets rebuild our communities.
Stay safe everyone

It crazy - there doesn't seem to be one specific reason for the rioting and looting and I don't understand why it's spread to other cities.

How a vigil for some dude that got shot, turned into what's happened, is beyond me. Some people are just ridiculous and it depresses me that "some" seems to now be "a lot." frown

it is but its not its an excuse to do this, most people who have done this don't even know the man or have any connections with him.
This is not an attack on the rich its only destructive to the poorer masses.
Also sick of people saying it was polictical, if it was polictical why have parliment, and other government associated buildings as well as police stations and the royal family been left untouched. Its gang culture plain and simple, yes there are economical and social factors that are a contributer to the cause of the riot but its mainly people just jumping on the bandwagon, who have no fear of the police or care for the consequences of their actions.
They are just doing it because they want money and can.
Just hope people realise that there are still nice people out there that live in these places.

It really is depressing. I'm not proud to live here anymore.!!

I think you've pretty accurate summed up my thoughts on the whole riot thing!

It seems to have calmed down a bit now though, hopefully it'll stay that way...

I'm with you all the way, Jazon1.

No excuse at all. Just a bunch of criminals and mindless thugs intent on destroying, stealing and hurting people. I'm so sorry you've been frightened for yourself, your friends, family and your town. I'm in Bristol and it kicked off around here, though I'm not actually in the immediate area where it all went down.

And you are so right. This wasn't political. It wasn't people fighting for a legitimate cause. People who say that do a huge disservice to the people of Syria and elsewhere who really are taking to the streets to fight for freedom. All we had here were vile gangsters using the police shooting in London as an excuse to steal from and hurt local people, people who just want to live their lives.

Lets just hope it is over now and the bastards get what they deserve.

I'm so pleased it didn't make it all the way up north, it almost makes me ashamed of the country. I do feel really proud of the whole riot clean up movement though, I kind of wish I lived in London so I could take part. Despite all the hateful scum who were involved with the riots, it's clear there is still hope for us!

I can only agree with you about the riots. I'm all for demonstrations but they can't make their point by destroying people's work places.
I love London, I spent a year living there, and England in general, you guys there are in thoughts more than ever.

Thanks for every ones responses I really appreciate it.

Geisha yes, thanks ah okay I see you moved to Belgium I'm sure its lovely there?
I think London's picking itself up and dusting itself off, I mean there are going to a couple of relating incidences I reckon but nothing as bad.

Hopefully it will work out all for the best, and make the government address a lot of issues that it has ignored or not tried hard enough to fix. Who knows what the exact solution is, let hope England finds it.
Hopefully my next few blogs will be a bit more light hearted smile
