I have been trying to think up a good story to go with this weeks homework. My father is a famous West Indian radio DJ so I have ran into a lot of musicians and but none have really felt that special but I'll tell you about the time I met Citizen Cope because it happened in such a weird way. So @missy ,@rambo and @lyxzen here it comes.
My wife and I went on our honeymoon in Portland, Oregon. We always wanted to go so we went low key and I was amazing. Such great food and people and it was Gay Pride week so there was a huge festival. We stayed in the Silver district at the Ace hotel...I think was the name. So after a week of being there on our final day at a coffee shop inside the hotel I hear this voice all raspy behind me so I look in this huge mirror in front of me and there he is in sweatpants and a tank top. It's 7 in the morning so we are all tired and all need coffee badly so I notice and leave him alone and walk past him and give him a smile. He then turns and follows me outside and says "dude, do I know you from Maryland? Are you doing any art shows here this week?" My mouth dropped and we started to chat for a few minutes and figured out we knew each other from a friend who was a promoter years back. I didn't even know we had hung out but yeah...we did. Alec (my wife ) the whole time has this huge smile on her face and has said nothing. It was cool. He wished us a congrats on our marriage and we caught a taxi to the airport. It was funny and strange and great.
