Last night I had a dream that I went out to work in the flower bed around a tree in my yard, which I do not have btw. When I got there I saw a snake and went to chase it off, but the "snake" turned out to be the tail of a lion that was hidden behind the tree. The lion ran off, but then returned with the entire pride and surrounded my house. They would not leave and my wife decided that I needed to get something out of the car and was trying to convince me into braving the lions. Is this a sign I ate to much?

Its hard to believe that my brother who was born the year after I graduated high school is now a senior himself. My grandfather has lost a lot of weight recently and my grandmother has gotten worse with her speech it almost looks like she had another small stroke, of course if she did I never heard about it.

Yesterday we went to my mothers house to do the Thanksgiving thing with her. I ate so much I made myself sick. I am going to be so fat by the time we do the big meals at all four parents places. I hope everyone has safe journeys this week.

On the 6th someone started a fire in the womens restroom at work, and gutted it. The women in my office have sure been unhappy with having to share with the men, thankfully the repairs were finished on theirs today.

Things have gotten very slow at work which is nice after such a busy summer.

My wifes step-father had to get a cancer spot taken out of his ear, he is doing very well.

Yesterday they finally got a new AC unit at work, nice going doing it after we've suffered all summer with the sub-par old unit. Also, a co-worker got me a bool about American Hair Metal bands and was giving me such a hard time about being into them in the 80's. Looking through it I found that I had seen 14 bands that are talked about.

horrorchick and I spent most of the day Sunday with my mother, it was so much fun I must make more time to spend with family. I also realized that I have not seen my best friend of 25 years very much this year and that is kinda sad, I miss the days when we did everything together.

I was in bed most of the weekend with food poisoning, that is some serious pain when it twists your guts, I've never felt anything like that. Makes me have new respect for the ladies for enduring pain like that every month.

Work has gotten better even though the AC still sucks, we are being invaded by gnats and crickets now as well.

On our way to San Diego we stopped at Casa Grande Runis National Monument and Yuma Territorial Prison in Arizona.

Casa Grande Ruins

The great house standing four stories tall, and 60 feet long is the largest structure known to exist in the Hohokam culture, and was built between 1300 and 1350. It has holes in its west wall that align with the sun and moon on specific dates like the summer solstice. There were many round-tailed ground squirrels running around.

Yuma Territorial Prison

Built in 1876 and in operation as a prison for 33 years it housed 3,069 prisoners including 29 women.

Back from San Diego. It was a nice vacation, we got to see almost everything we wanted to when we were there. Once I resize some pictures I will post another blog talking about some of the things we saw.

I had to go to Amarillo Texas last weekend for a meeting. Friday night we ate at the Big Texan, but I was not hungry enough to try eating the 72oz steak, and I'm pretty sure I would not be able to eat all that food in an hour anyway. Saturday before the meeting i went to the American Quarterhorse Hall of Fame and Museum. Then drove back overnight, 6 hours driving in the total blackness of norhtwest Texas is a lonely drive.

Just a llittle over a week until my vacation to San Diego.
