Last weekend I went to a competition for the drill teams that I am on. Its similar to military drills except we use swords instead of rifles. One team has seven people on it and came in first place in that division. The other team has fifteen people and came in third for that division.

While there we went to the zoo. The wife and I got to feed crackers to the giraffes, and one of the elephants would hold her trunk up begging for them until you threw her one.

I forgot my camera, so no pictures.

a giraffe spat at me once on a school trip.
oh wait...that was a camel...nevermind.

the baby elephant (burma) escaped from the zoo once and ran across the motorway. it caused quite a commotion. i wanted to try and catch her and keep her in the backyard

I wish you had some pics or a video! I love watching military drill (teams?) there is something about everyone being in sync and working together that is appealing.

Hope you had a good zoo day! I haven't been to one if forever and it kind of makes me want to go to the aquarium.
