I know what you mean about complicated family stuff, my family has been all disjointed the last decade, with a person from each group holding a grudge from another group making it impossible to have a normal get together or life in general. just recently everyone has "kissed and made up" so to speak, but it still has this weirdness vibe about it when we get together.
despite it all, i am going to smile this christmas and be happy for the good things, i demand you do the same in spite of grumpy mother in laws!

i think the books will be great...i started readin the one about the boy that suffered abuse by his real mother then by his step mother and then murdered by her.
its quite sad.....but ill keep goin with it cos readin things like that alwasy give me akick up the arse and make me realise how petty my troubles are.

I'm asking Santa for x-mas to make kale taste like mushroom pizza!!
i started getting grumpy last nite as I did some x-mas shoppin' for my co-workers. You are lucky you don't have to get a gift! Most of the time i spent was staring at stuff debating how much should i spend, is this too much or too little, i thought i might give myself an aneurysm.

I actually enoyed my trip to the dentist, still no cavities-ever-and i got lotsa' freebies and the dental tech who cleaned my teeth took digi pics of my mouth and showed me different things she was doing in there and flossed my whole mouth to show me good techniques, it was my first trip to a dentist where they actually acted like they cared. refreshing! in fact the whole time I've been in OK it's like that, everyone here really does their job and are pretty genuine and polite, it's nice for a change.
