There is a meme I just saw that stated, "If moms ran the world, there would be no war." and I honestly must say that I can't agree. While, traditionally, mothers are supposed to be caring and nurturing and father's are supposed to be tough and unemotional, it is over a decade into the 21st century. There are plenty of fathers who can express stereotypically motherly traits and some men act all tough and warrior-like because that is what attracts women to them and makes them fathers in the first place.
Women are just as capable of violence and aggression as men. There are differences between the sexes, but generally, the gender lines are blurred. Women were some of the most skilled snipers of the Soviet Union during World War 2. So, honestly, that statement is patronizing to both sexes. Mothers can be vicious war-mongers as well, just look at Sarah Palin! And fathers can possess motherly traits, look at how John Lennon raised his son, Sean. So, generally, the fact is that if human beings evolved to the point where we realized that death is something that is permanent and that better solutions to our problems must be found, then there would HOPEFULLY be no more wars!
