hello interworld.
i went to new hampshire last week and had fun and loved and laughed and did some tattoos. observe:
ha! i can hear you now: "but ryan, that vegan tattoo isn't cute! that's not what you do!" and you'd be right. but i did it anyway! how do ya like them apples?
i wish i got to tattoo more hands. they're fun. i think this is the first time i've ever done a chrysanthemum, also.
done in one day, 6 hours. tough lady. i used the flowers on a kleenex box for reference on this one. not even kidding.
aaaaand here's some other crap i did before i went to nh.
i have no funny quirky comment for this one. i'm sorry. i'm not a machine, you know!
yay. this is done. what a handsome little man.
this is a coverup too. i'm bad at taking pictures, apparently.
i finished this about 6 months ago i think. just got healed pictures of it, finally. really happy with how it's settled in.
this is her first tattoo. it's big. we worked on this over 2 days too, since she came up here from the bay area. way tougher than me.
that's all for tattoos. now i'm gonna do something i haven't in a while... post random thoughts!
-i think i need a weird new hobby, like kitemaking or kickboxing or something. i don't even care. i realize that i've never put much effort towards anything that i immediately sucked at or showed no aptitude for. so i want to start doing more stuff that i will never be even remotely good at, and more importantly is completely unmarketable and will never go anywhere. bowling? figure skating? i'm taking suggestions here.
-that song "spitting venom" on the new modest mouse is SO good. it's like 8 minutes long. i've noticed that in general, my favorite song on nearly any given album is the longest, most epic one. again, taking suggestions here, people.
-i don't know if you noticed. but i'm 24 now. whatevs.
-i spent a good portion of my day yesterday watching youtube videos of various dogs who only have 2 legs, in various combinations... one had 2 front legs and none in the back, one only had 2 back legs, and there was another one that even had one front and one back, both on the left side. and you know what? they totally didn't even give a shit. they just figured it out. the one with the back legs just decided to run around on them like a human. front legs pretty much just learned to balance himself into a permanent wheelbarrow half push-up all of the time. the other guy just ran around like any other dog. none of them required any artificial little wheels or any of that shit. yet ANOTHER reason why dogs are better than people... when was the last time you saw a one-legged person say "fuck wheelchairs, dude. i'm just gonna hop. everywhere."? yeah. never.
with that said, here is a picture of my favorite dog in the world, who i got to see when i went to nh. i love you moo.
i guess that's it.
bye.
