There's all the clichéd, boring batch of resolutions like exercise more, eat better, avoid fast food, read more, keep in touch with friends more often, keep the apartment clean for more than 3 days at a time,... For me, more important than all of that is, to put it bluntly, grow a pair. Whether it's saying no to my bosses more, telling the landlord her building is a dump (better yet, moving out of the East Side), or going out on a limb and asking that friend out on a proper date, I need to grow a pair in 2014 to shake things up and shed my safety blanket.
Nothing ever goes to plan though. We all think we have a plan of what we want to do this year but we're just making this up as we go along. So really, our one resolution is to take all the shit 2014 throws at us and have a great year in spite of it. If we can throw in some of those clichéd resolutions too, that's just icing on the cake.
