All i have photographed in the last few weeks is some weddings. I need to do something really creative, soon. Haha. Hopefully I will shoot some cars this weekend, but I need to do somehting crazy, something where I push myself and fail possibly even. That would be fun.

Spent 2 days running around Laguna Seca in Monterey taking photos for a client. When I wasn't shooting for them, I was shooting the racing for myself. I haven't made an overall gallery yet, but here is the gallery I did for one team who's car I loved.

Tomorrow I go on my first paid trip for a photo shoot. I have been paid for weddings, car shoots, etc, but no one paid to have me go e somewhere else and paid my travel fees. And really, a piece of me really wants to have a whole LOT of that happen for a while. This is just to Monterey, but maybe later this year I will have Austin, TX. Which will e interesting since I am so DEATHLY afraid of airplanes (which sucks because the Florida Keys are so damn far away and I love them so damn much).

I am super excited. I have to admit.

The best thing would be if someone paid me to shoot at a bunch of different tracks, and I had enough money from the gigs that I could jsut road trip between them. I ain't got anything going on now, spending a few months road tripping would be pretty rad.

Things are ALMOST happening. Its driving me nuts.

Hopefully soon I will be doing more racing photography, hopefully tomorrow I am shooting something with my friend that I love to shoot, and I have someone in vintage racing that is sort of evangelizing about me, trying to get people to use me.

Bad ass, I say.

I am thinking about accepting 2 more second shooter jobs that don't pay dick. I am sad because it feels like a giant step backwards, but I need money.

I still haven't learned to sell myself, or make contacts and friends to shoot. Its something I am getting better at very slowly.

I really want to find a model I can do stuff that pushes my comfort with. My favorite model right now is really in comfort zone as far as what she want's to shoot. Cute fashion, light, fun stuff. I want to shoot some dark, sexually charged, out there stuff.

Hopefully reaching out to some models will hepl that, who knows who I'll find. haha.

So, I will make a blog post.

I spent two days in Long Beach shooting cars going sideways. I had about as much fun as I can have, really. I just love taking photos of cars.

I had 1 and a half photoshoots with models fall apart last week. One I salvaged, the other she flaked so there was nothing TO salvage. Haha. Trying again with a different model Thursday, assisting on a wedding Saturday, HOPEFULLY shooting an old plane Sunday. Might try to squeeze in a beach shoot with a model tomorrow, depends on weather.com's prognosticating.

I love taking pictures of cars on the track. I may not be good at telling the story of a race, but I like getting cars on the track.

I have been so busy I forgot about this place. Guess I should post here more.

Nothing like a bunch of idiots online to take the wind out of your sails.

Have the best week ever for me photographically and I am still ending up bummed out.
