Went to see clutch on sunday night... feel good tunes galore.
I'm going to see mono on thursday... kinda mogwai type stuff, with a japanese feel. I remember when I saw them the first time... their music is really beautiful, epic and uplifting. They have a song called Thousand Paper Cranes, which the bassist explained to me is about a young Japanese girl who developed leukemia in 1955 from the effects of radiation caused by the bombing of Hiroshima. There is a Japanese legend that the gods bestow marvelous wishes unto anyone who successfully folds one-thousand paper cranes and this girl spent the rest of her days folding.
The girl from Mono gave me a paper crane that she made after this. That was sweet.

Wish I had known Clutch were playing. Never heard Mono tho. Where they from? (hope it is not the obvious which would be Japan!!!)
So is the album finished being mixed yet? Where did you record again?
Last time I recorded anything was in Red Eye in Clydebank.
