Well, I have been a little busy but I miss SG land too much. Although I never stopped visiting, I just want to be more active again. And I will.

Well, I have been a little busy but I miss SG land too much. Although I never stopped visiting, I just want to be more active again. And I will.

So I have a very wide taste in movies.
Yesterday I watched "Infernal Affairs", a Hong Kong picture. One of the most acclaimed by their film industry and I ended up with a very strong deja vu.
What I didn't knew was that I already saw that movie. Infernal Affairs is the original version that The Departed was based on. Turns out that "based on" is much more "copied of". Seriously. Scene from scene. Even the jokes and most of the important lines.
There are some differences of course. The shrink, for instance, has a relationship with Matt Damon and in Infernal Affairs she doesn't even know Damon's Hong Kong counterpart. And Jack Nicholson is kind of a main character, when Sam (the crime boss of Infernal Affairs) isn't. But is Jack Nicholson. I mean, come on, he just NEED to be a main character. The man just rocks!
I still love The Departed. The cast is just fucking awesome and the plot is like Scorsese's birth right. But let's just be honest; it's a REMAKE, not a adaptation. In order to let my conscience be free I'm just gonna blame Warner for this.
