I can understand being a bit pissy ... I'd probably be the same way. I wish I had some great advice telling you to be the bigger person but I can't. Hell, I'd lay low ...and when they inquiered about my lack of participation.... I'd act innocently shocked ... Oh I thought we didn't make big deals about birthdays since mine wasn't a big deal.... and let them figure it out. Come visit GA ... we'll celebrate your birthday the right way (it would be late but hey... I try! )

Friends shouldn't be work ... and they shouldn't cause headaches. And yes, you so should !! If you come in the Summer, Cheshire should be here w. me. I think he's staying a while this summer...and hopefully, permanently in about a year

I'd be pissed too. Question is: how much do you want to help this person celebrate and how much is their friendship to you? If you do celebrate with the gang, let it drop that you wish you could have had this for you too. Sometimes we like to think other people know what we would like, and we're not the best communicators we would like to believe / they're not telepathic.
