Christmas was a hit, especially the DVD camcorder I bought Ashley. She has wanted one ever since she studied abroad in China several years ago. It will also be a nice gadget for me. We plan on using it to record the move out the Denver.
Originally I had planned on leaving for Denver today, however this would have made Christmas more stressful for everyone. I have not even started packing yet (not really a problem, I am taking little with me), and plan on heading out to buy brunch and boxes after this post. I feel a bit ambivalent: I love the city of Denver, and having a clean slate in new place, but I am still uncertain. This is probably natural. Change is a pain in the ass, even when it is for the best.
I don't think anyone on the planet other than me reads these, but now I am going to switch gears and write briefly about Ashley. We met in middle school, where we both were the 'new kids.' I noticed her first, in art class. We kept in touch, even when we attended college in two different parts of the country. Now I am moving to Denver with her. She rocks my world.
Anyhow, if anybody out there ever reads these, then drop a comment and let me know. I'll keep posting regardless, because something tells me that things on my island are gonna get interesting. Rock on!
