I've spent the last 4 days filling sandbags, shovelling mud, and removing fallen branches. We are getting a little break in the weather today, but it looks like another storm will hit by morning. We lost power for awhile. I'm back at my desk this morning and wish I was still in bed. Mondays.. blah..
No Pic's from my ride Saturday, we never stopped.
It finally stopped raining. My yard is flooded, as usual, and there is a ton of mud to clean up. Well we know what that means.....SNOW!!!! I leave Sunday morning and can not wait. I'll be gone for a week. No phone, no email, just trails and snow. Oh, and a HUGE fireplace. Did I mention a jacuzzi?
My dearest finished her finals and is getting back to her normal self, I felt like a dart board for awhile
Anyhoo, the solstice is Saturday so we'll have a big bonfire and such. I feel great since I quit drinking, it's actually quite fun to be sober around drunken fools
egads, I'd better do something about the ADHD...
ciao

I guess I won't be swimming from Alcatraz anytime soon. I'm pissed off beyond words. I'd give a link to Volunteer for the clean-up, but people are being asked to leave when they show up. Oh, and Mr. Mayor, learn the differece between a tanker and a container ship k?

This time of year I don't spend as much time in the pool or on the bike. I spend a little more time just running out my back door. It's cool in the morning, but not too cold, and I warm up quick. I haven't had to wear gloves yet, but will be by the end of the month most likely.
There's not too many people out at first light, and that's a welcome solitude for me. I'll see deer and turkey's, an occasional grey fox. The geese should start arriving soon, as well as some of the other migratory birds that spend winter here on the Russian River.
We haven't had a lot of rain in the last couple years, but I think that this year will be wet. Hopefully we won't flood. more to come...
