i have witnessed the unification of all things and it is beautiful!
i do need, however, to let it digest and go research meso-american medical/shamanistic/metaphysical works to see if they, too, fall into this system. it did manage to incorporate every cultural view i can think of which is, in and of itself, pretty amazing as any philosophy buff will know.
but that's all. finals start monday and i'm woefully under-prepared as per usual.

wow. i feel like it's time for a new post. actually, i've been feeling this for a few weeks now but it's all just a matter of making the time for it.
life is its normal self around here. i'm paying my rent, drinking enough beer, making some extra money and pouring it all back into this little project of mine:
. not running just yet but the valves are properly adjusted, the battery is charging as we speak and i've got some more ideas for when i get up tomorrow.
happy memorial day, everyone! i propose that we remember not just the lives that have been given by men in uniform by why they were given this year. i really think that the lives were given out of pride in this country and the idea that we men can strive for something approaching a respectful government. i can't help but contrast that with what we have now and wonder what went wrong and who sold us all out in the name of power. there really is such an infinite potential for us all to do amazingly good things for the world but it is hampered at every turn by our current power structure. this memorial day i'm going to be remembering that there is more to this holiday than white shoes, bar-b-ques and american flags. there is also the need to remember how we've let everyone down. our potential hasn't been met for a very long time but i do believe that it is time to live up to it once again!

so after a short hiatus i went to another show. this time the guys had cute british accents and a penchant for vodka and sodas.
wow. so after almost an hour of videos on youtube i've got a few videos for you. one live, one not i've decided.
first, the one straight from the album that is truly one of my top 10, full stop, Cast of Thousands:
and then this, live, track. it's even on the same stage as last night although, i would firmly state, not as good as the one i saw. but that might just be bias on my part.
The official music video for that song is amazing, too.
other than that i'm in the process of making a blast furnace so i can anneal and temper steel to make my own blades and studiously avoiding my studies. go me!

Just got home from seeing some folks from the old 303. they put on a great show, as per usual, although i really do think that the black keys and calexico are two of the best bands to see live. calexico always brings the heat and you can't help but dance like a stoned nutjob.
anyway, here's the band i enjoyed tonight:
and here's calexico:
hopefully you all enjoy.
i'm whipped and i'm bartending again in the morning so i'm off to bed now.
be well until then!

alright. so i finally managed to take a few pictures of one of my only true loves. here's a prime example:

and for good measure the rear end. you guys know how i like rear ends.

past that it's the weekend! except i have biochemistry lab tomorrow and my first test on monday. i need to be studying to hard right now!
i hope you're all well and i'll be around to say hi soon enough.

Just watch this video. Probably better once you're outside your normal state of mind but I'm not going to conduct provings of that theory until this weekend.
other than that, my plans are coming together for the bike. pictures once the new pipes go on.
that is all except to wish you all the best.
EDIT:

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! it's funny because it's such a stupid thing to do/say and he's actually got a whole plan about how to cancel out vegetarians. being that i'm practically unable to eat meat at this point i think that this idea would be a terrible health plan. too much saturated fat and cholesterol and animal steroids and GMO steroids to go around.

I wish my science fair projects were this cool!
Past that, it's spring break and i'm having a blast. i just sourced a spot for some free mufflers, albiet they're going to require some mods to the bike but what doesn't? and they're always going to be free, which rocks my socks and then some.
also, i've just started to matte black my exhaust in the front to protect it from the elements and to make it look even better. i'm thinking it's going to be all matte black for my bike pretty soon. outside of a pattern in dark blue and black on the tank. i'm thinking that checkers might look cool but so might skulls and they'd go with the tail-light. pictures very soon! probably in a few minutes, in fact.
question for you all: what is your favorite dish and why?
school is eating my life. that and getting my motorcycle up to snuff. i love working on it when it gets all nice out like it has been the past few weeks here. pictures soon as SG figures out the phone cam thing. i'm not holding my breath. they've been failing at it for months now with no sign of life.
i ordered a 3-D skull taillight and a cafe style bubble fairing for it that should be in at the end of the week. excited!
for now, that's going to be it. boring, i know, but necessary because i need sleep.
EDIT:
this is my ink from down in the comments. a special thanks to e for this one:
