ahhh. had the most awesome of times in las vegas this weekend. was able to spend time with one of my dearest friends. went to a renaissance faire where there were many half-naked men in kilts. *swoon* went to to sam's town [why?] saw the pogues give a brilliant performance. was amazing despite shane looking as if he was about to fall over at any moment - hell, that's part of the charm really. then saw a great band at nine fine irishmen - ri ra. i am amazed at the price of alcohol in las vegas compared to montana. must be quite hard to keep up a hardcore drinking habit there. still, very good times. and i got a rain storm! in las vegas! now it's back to reality, back to work tomorrow morning. bugger.

Barenaked Ladies was once my most favouritiest of favourite bands. They released a new album today which I'm sad to say, is shit. Last one pretty much sucked a bunch of ass but had a few winners. This new one is just...blah. Blah. That's all I think to call it. Bland. Background music in an elevator that I would never even notice. I am saddened by the bands departure into suck. Luckily I did not buy "...Are Me" [the first BNL release I have not purchased] but previewed it yesterday on AOL music. I would have been mighty pissed had I put out $13 - $18 for such crap.

I also discovered yesterday that John Mayer's latest is quite good. Never been a huge fan of his so it surprised me that I was so taken with it.

In other music news, I'll be heading to Las Vegas next month to visit a friend and take in a Pogues show. I'm so excited I could pee.
