Today, a couple of tickets landed in my lap for the AC/DC. I couldn't find anyone to take on such short notice. Soooo, I asked my son if he wanted to go see the band. See, he's been performing and taking lessons at the Paul Green School of Rock to play bass for the last year and a half. After much hemming and hawwing, he said "sure." I mean come on. It's AC/DC!!
We arrive at the show and see the tail end of the performance from The Answer. Not bad. They have good energy and a decent rhythm.
Oh, one thing, we were perched up in the mezzanine on the first row stage left. Now, the view was great, but the distance to the ground petrified my boy (he's only 10). Sigh. Okay, fine, I get it, scarred of heights. I am used to heights since working on oil wells as I-beams as a kid (look Dad, no tether!!) We carefully extracted ourselves and made our way down the the event supervisors. They look at my kiddo and totally sympathize. Instead of being in the nosebleeds, we are given seats on the stadium seating, stage right. The view was AWESOME. The kid had a blast and bought pins for his bass strap and a sticker for his cabinet.
My boy is so fricken cute and the best son. You should have seen him shouting during the performance of TNT.
Here are some pics of the show

Not having any kids is something I'm constantly aware of, so such a nice vicarious experience is always a special thing.
