1. At least you guys should be used to not having a Cup by now.
2. I would rather see an honest, patchy attempt at playoff beard than that... thing. Toews is mostly sideburns and patchy as hell but at least he's trying.
3. Your salary cap is toast next year. We'd be doing you a favour.
Peter Pocklington was the owner of the Oilers in the 80s. He had his father's name engraved on the Stanley Cup. It is the only name that has been removed (not counting spelling errors). He sold Gretzky to the Kings. Part of that was to pay his own debt. Before owning the Oilers he was a union buster. He recently filed for bankruptcy and is under investigation for possibly hiding millions in assets. It's expected he will sell some of his Stanley Cup rings to pay part of the debt. The Oilers were almost moved to Texas because of his ridiculous salary and poor management. He is one of the most hated men in Canadian hockey.
Holy shit. That's COLD. I don't think I will be raising a glass when Pocklington dies. I will continue to spit at the mention of his name but that's about it. I mostly don't care about him. His damage is long over. There are people I hate far more than him.
