Hi Kids!
So just when I thought the traveling couldn't get more extreme.. I flew to LA yesterday (Sunday) and..back on the same day. I'm sure the folks at customs thought I had a colon full of poppies. That's one of the good things about being semi-famous is that if they go.. "didn't I just see you?" I can say "maybe on TV" and they smile and stamp my papers and let me through. Phew. Nothing really caps off a day of flying for ten hours and auditioning for 3 like a good ole cavity search! Moooooooonnn River! Thank ya Doc. Y'ever serve time?
Got to have a nice meal with my cousin (who is also my drummer and the drummer for a band called Rosavelt) and his loverly wife Kim. As luck would have it they were in town for a few days. I love them..that is all.
As I write this I am listening to "Badlands" by Metalchurch which is being lovingly piped into my earholes by my new iPod shuffle...a device that I initially thought would be stupid but now... uh.. i..love ...it's awesome.
I hope you are all doing well and I have a bit of a request... consider it market research... I'm embarkling on a New Stand-up tour and rather than do comedy about insulated hollywood bs which is always the danger once you start working non-stop... I wanna know what you'd like me to make fun of! Just let me know something that you hate or ticks you off or you find ridiculous... now for legal reasons don't comment too much I don't wanna rip anyones stuff or be accused of doing so... so if you choose...just write "Strollers" or "loud cell phone talkers" and I'll give it the old college go and if you come see me and I'm doing the bit you can say.. "Hey I suggested that subject, you big hollywood phoney!" and I'll hug you and say thanks!
Cheers all,
Hal

Hullo!
So Today I am the travellin' foole. I had to fly from Toronto to LA today for an audition and then I red-eye back to T.O. tonight for work tomorrow (yes they have me working saturdays now too) I actually love traveling and I can sleep anywhere so It's a bit of fun. The tough part is getting home and then being torn away immediately, no dinner with friends, no movies, "no time for the old in-out love I've just come to check the meter!"... and then on the next plane to Canada.
Never the one to be complacent I have tried adding some friends on here and I think I've heard back from two... eh... what am I doing wrong? Perhaps it's the ADD ME OR ELSE! message that I send with that picture of me menacingly holding toenail clippers. Ya think? Note to self - be less menacing...or more menacing...
Grrr being a Libra is tough sometimes... or maybe it isn't...yes it is...No Wait...Grrr
I hope everyone on here is having a great day!
Hal
p.s. is it just me or does Visha look a bit like Tori Amos if she was in The Grudge? - I see that as a good thing by the way... a v-e-r-y good thing

Hiya!
I'm never sure what kind of stuff to write on these Journals because it's not like there is a lot you can't find out about me already and I certainly don't feel the need to vent my deepest inner-most thoughts.
So How about a couple of quick movie reviews...
The Aviator - A very grand movie that ends right where it should have begun.
Million Dollar Baby - A great movie about living life fully. Very sad... don't expect to watch it without giving up a day being depressed. It's like The Notebook on steroids
Hotel Rwanda - what can I say. If you want proof America sucks sometimes remember not only did we do nothing when this was happening Schindlers list was winning an Oscar right in the middle of this genocide and nobody seems to notice the irony. Don Cheadle is great in it
Ray - I don't know if Jamie Foxx did a good job or not because there are no shots in this movie lasting more than 4 seconds. Give the man time to act people... Jesus. It'll probably win a couple of Oscars because people will be rewarding the real Ray Charles in their minds
Napolean Dynamite - The single most influential Movie of last year, Gosh!
Spiderman 2 - I was in it for 2 minutes... ergo an instant classic
Barely Legal 22 - weak plot, doesn't properly carry the narrative over from the rest of the series. A lot of unaswered questions. 4 stars
I hope this enhances your movie going experience!
Big Love,
Hal
p.s. great albums - Josh Todd , Thornley

So... I came on here to buy a shirt to show my support and ended up joining... and here I am. If you're wonderring if this is really me you can ask Cricket we've been friends for years... Well A year..and change.. but still.
I'm up in Toronto filming the final season of Queer As Folk for another 2 months. If anyone one has any suggestions of cool shows coming up or good alternative places to hang lemme know...
The band will be touring in the Spring.. I'm positively electrified about it... so maybe I'll see some of you out at the shows.
And so ends my virginal journal entry at SG.com.... phew....
Now...
Who wants to wrestle... heh...I kid...
