So I'm reading Black God's Kiss by C.L Moore (an old school fantasy piece from 1934). What a ride. It's like Conan meets Call of Cthuhlu with a maddened woman at the helm. As a hobbyist writer (I'm far from professional), it's a special treat, too. Jumping that far back in time and reading just how language was handled, what grammar was accepted (yes, it's masculine), and what concepts were being dealt with gives you a unique perspective into where we are, at least culturally in the West, today
Nothing profound, I suppose, more of an observation.
What else? Writing, working, and planning my trip to Thailand. Oh, and planning a massive Goth/Halloween party for the end of next month. The theme? The undead. It should be fun. I'll be a zombie DJ, I think.
In other news, it's raining a lot in the Philippines.
