Went to a party at some friends' house last night in Dripping Springs. It must have been fun, because I didn't leave there until 1:00 this afteroon and I still feel like shit!
Thanks to the UT cheerleaders and Hooters girls who came out and helped beautify the proceedings. I wouldn't think I'd like people with those job descriptions, but they're cooler than I thought they'd be. Maybe it was the punch...

Survived my 36th birthday. Woo hoo. Now that I'm old, I feel like I should somehow "get my shit together". Heh. Why start now?
Hmmm, what's new...
I've been working on some more guitars lately, feels good to get back into it. I also have a new gig, road managing for a different band. Really enjoying it, too!
Blah blah blah.

Finally got innernut connected two months after moving. In the interim I've been reading a lot of good books: House of Sand and Fog by Andre Dubus III; Black Tickets by Jayne Anne Phillips; Angela's Ashes by Frank McCourt (growing up poor & Irish, something I can identify with); currently re-reading On The Road by Jack Kerouac.
I've also been working on my new place. In the last few days the plumbers have connected the drain to the Jacuzzi in my bedroom and a guy came and replaced the stovepipe on my woodstove, so the place is a lot more comfortable now.
I still miss my ex-girlfriend...
