Hmmm, where to start...

I got a little beer buzz going, I went to see some friends from Texas play tonight, Two Tons of Steel. I rode my motorcycle to OKC to watch them, and I really enjoyed the ride, I haven't been up on two lately. It was really great to see those guys, I used to hang out with them, and we drank beer and caught up after the show.

You'll recall from my last blog, I'm sure, that I got my head shaved. 40" of hair removed in moments.
Well... I'm still bald. It's weird, my helmet doesn't fit right and my head's either hot or cold all the time.

I rewired the amplifier to use a different power tube, which allowed me to remove two of the four transformers I had on there. I wired it up about a week ago, but only put power to it last night. I hooked it up, flipped the switch and nothing made smoke, so I grabbed a guitar and played through it for a while. Didn't even take any voltage readings, just played through it. I love it when I wire something up and it works the first time!

Y'all don't make fun of my playing, now... kiss

FREEBIRD!!
tongue tongue
Sounds like it does the trick.
A bandana might snug up the Helmet for a better fit,
and keep the noggin warmer.

yeah! the time i've spent on the mesa is hands down the most at peace with my place on this planet that i've ever been. my dream is to have an earthship someday, complete with indoor gardens and a stocked fish pond.
new mexico is a magnet for innovators and big dreamers.

i’m glad you had so much fun with your old friends, that is always good, what kind of beer did you drink?

I some how missed your last journal, so what made you decided to go with the balled look?

I’m glad the amplifier is turning out so nice.

Trevor hung out with one of his old female friends from high school, and he now he says his old feelings for her came back and that we've "drifted apart". I was ok with it at first, but I can't stop bawling everytime i think about him not wanting me anymore. He brought me 1000 miles from everything I knew and 6 months later leaves me....He does feel really bad and he doesn't want to hurt me, but fuck! I love him so much! I have no where to go so I'm still living with him and his parents. Everything is so damn expensive down here, even just renting a room with roommates rent can still be around $700-800+. I've found some less expensive, but I have a pit bull that I refuse to get rid of, so that makes it a bit harder. I have one friend down here who's been really good and letting me talk to him and what not, but other than him I know Trev's parents and the people I work with. I've thought about saving up a bunch of money and just traveling, but how long do I really want live in the same room as him? I respect his decision, and I'm not the person to beg for someone to stay, I don't want us both to be in a miserable relationship, and I know it's going to get better eventually, I just need to get away from him for a while, but where do I go?

I can assure you he's not, but thanks for the laugh! I'm just glad he had told me right away instead of dragging out an deadend relationship. I had a feeling something wasn't right, anyway. I'd rather know now and get over everything than live with a weird feeling for months. Shit happens in life, and I'm starting to get over it. Helps that he's gone to work when I get up, and he's asleep when I get home (funny how I used to hate that...) I have a guy I work with who's been really awesome and I've been talking to him a lot, especially when I need my mind off of things, and then I've also got an old friend from washington who I just started talking to again. I know Trev and I will still be friends, I just need to get away for a while.

I envy guitar techs... They get to be the first guys done on a strike and they're the the ones who get the second best girls and bus bunks...

Me I had to fight it out with the staging guy for last dibs...
