Sunday..... at work..... just great....

Well, movies have to finished, deadlines need to be respected. Except when you don't have all the files you need to finish the freaking movie because the editor did not follow your instructions.

And now it's about overtime!!!!! Money! And pissed girlfriend because I'm doing 14 hour days to fix mistakes from someone else! YAY!!!!

If any of you ever get into the post production business, remember to not plan anything for more than a week ahead. I'll probably gonna have to cancel it.

But, on a good note, if you're a fan of stop motion movies, the guys who did all the puppets and animation work for Robot Chicken are about to release their first feature, and it's fucking hilarious.

Vita games!!!

Haven't had time to update, work's been insane, lots of movies to deliver.

Got a PS Vita and I'm loving it, playing a lot of Rayman Origins and MGS Peace Walker, but not enought The Witcher 2 on my Xbox.

Wanna talk about sets, so many gorgeous girls that my head wanna explode, but very little time now, typing from work....

Well, what do you do when the tools you use are completely changed without a word from the manufacturer?

- Get really pissed because you bought it and it's incomplete?

- Cries in despair and goes to the corner of the room?

- Starts from scratch and learns a toolset that was always on your mind but you never really took it serious?

Final Cut Pro was completely redesigned. Like, REALLY redesigned. It lost basic functions that I can't work without and, being an Apple product, no one knows when updates will come to restore the old functions.



Which brings me to the point: where do you go from here?

Obvious answer is always to not get lazy and try something new, learn it and make sure it covers all your bases because the post world is pretty unforgiving and you have to do your best and have answers for the craziest problems.

That path brought me back to the software I never used because of its prohibitive price..... Avid Media Composer:



Now, Final Cut Pro used to cost $999, but the new incomplete version is $299.

Avid costs $2499, but, trying to lure unhappy customers from Apple, has a new price of $999 for a limited price.

I just bought it a couple of days ago and I'm getting mys ass handed to me... lots of differences interface wise, different way of thinking, but made me wake up and learn something very special: never trust companies that are not transparent about their upgrading policies.

Learn as much as you can, try different softwares, make sure you know the basics for as many programs as you can get your hands on. It will pay off in the end.

After months without posting anything I feel a bit disconnected from writing here, but it'll pass Im sure!

Now, this just a personal note to myself: do not, ever again, work 300 hours in a month, even though all
the 6 movies you have been working on have the same exact deadline...( which was the Cannes festival).
Money is good but your mental state is not, so no more crazy 20 hour days!

On a lighter note, Thor was a really fun movie! Do not watch it 3D, waste of your money.

PSN (Playstation Network) finally is back online, so i can watch netflix again and update my Dead Space 2, which I'm hoping to finish soon, along with Dead Space: Extraction.

There are so many sets I just loved during the last couple of months that I can't really choose a few to link here to, but they all make me love the website even more....

....And I'm finally done moving!!!!

After a whole month of living (and paying rent...) in two different apartments, I'm finally done!

Loving the fact that I live by myself now, althoughI'll definitely miss my roommate.... always fun to have her around.

February was a month of excessive work hours and lots of being sick, unfortunately, but good movies were finished, I met Ron Howard ( the movie director), Roger Corman's documentary was really well received at the Sundance Film Festival and will hopefully be in Theaters or DVD/Blu Ray soon.

.... good month overall....

Nothing like being sick for a couple of weeks.... freaking cold...

Still love winter, though....

Happy new year everybody!

I am one of those people hoping that 2k11 will be way better than the year before it. So many bills that i had to pay, shit with ex- girlfriends, getting back to a job that I don't personally like but i need it for now.... oh well, no more bitching!

This Year will be awesome! There are trips to be made, new people to meet, awesome sets on Suicide Girls, new movies to be finished! Good ones, even!!!!!

So for everybody that had a crappy last year.... this year will be awesome, I'm telling you!

Long day/night at work, I've been waiting for some files to be done for the last 8 hours and still have a DVD to make.....not really fun.

Got the Tron: Legacy sountrack and so far I think it's absolutely amazing, but the version on Itunes is not the complete one.....bbbbbbbbbuuuuuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhh!!!! If anyone in Canada or UK can buy the Deluxe Edition for me and I'll Paypal you the money, I would appreciate it!

Will the booze make me feel all great because I do not have to wake up early?

Will the company fall under the pressure of doing 4 movies without me showing up?
