Time for a new entry. All those wonderful comments deserve something new from me.
This is just not the best time, though. So, instead, I'm going to go the other direction, and ask for more from all of you. That's right... questions. Well, first, ask me some. But second, here are some for all of you.

  • What's the oddest thing in which you have sincerely believed?

  • Are you the same person you were five years ago? If not, how different are you, and how?

  • Who, of all the people in the world, has your favorite voice? You may pick male and female if you like, or can't narrow it down.

  • What subject area gave you, or gives you now, the most trouble in school? What was the most fun?

  • The "If a tree falls in the forest and no one is there to hear it fall" question.... deep, pointless, or el caca de toro?

  • So, if you were put in charge of an ancient monastery/repository of infinite wisdom, and you had to test those who came to the gates, and either turn them away as unworthy, or let them pass... what would be your test?

  • Sleep issues aside- do you prefer sunset or sunrise?

  • Does history show, again and again, how nature points out the folly of men?

  • What's your favorite short story, ever?

  • If you could be dramatically (1) more beautiful/handsome, (2) more funny, or (3) more wise which would you chose?

  • If you could be all three of the previous, or somewhat more lucky which would you chose?

Ok, that's it... for now. Meanwhile it's time for me to think before I "speak"...

~ When I was very young, I honestly believed that stepping on a crack before I was aware of what could happen is what caused my mother's scoliosis.

~I am so not the person I was five years ago. I mean, parts are constant, but I've changed a lot. I'm more outgoing, more confident, more driven and I can deal with my demons without shutting down.

~Louis Armstrong. He sings. I melt.

~Math. Great at geometry but once they started adding letters I couldn't grasp it. Those are two separate subjects thank you very much.
I'm good at English and find Sciences (esp. Biology) extremely interesting but I can't hold the titles in my head.

~Not so relevent since the invention of voice recorders etc. We know it makes a sound, even if no one is there.

~I would have their favorite person or animal whatever, appear next to them and tell them that only one of them could come in. If they chose the other, they pass.

~Sunset, because the moon comes after it. (surprise surprise)

~Most definitely. So many people think they're above or not connected to nature. Surprise, we're all just animals after all.

~It's weird, because I'm not a big fan of Hemmingway, but I really like "The Cat in the Rain"

~More wise. I'm fairly good looking and it's not that great. And humor is great, but not everyone will understand it all the time.

~Still wise, I think. Wisdom helps with the other parts of life so yeah.

I believe it was the same cat. At least that's how I read it.

And yeah, George is kind of an ass. There's a lot of speculation over that story about why he never gets up. Some say that he's wounded, like many men in Hemmingway's stories were. Some say Hemmingway was flipping his usual portrayals of men and women. Still some say that, you know, he's just an ass.

What's the oddest thing in which you have sincerely believed?

Are you the same person you were five years ago? If not, how different are you, and how?
Nope. I think I am evolving from month to month. How am i different... I am older, I am happier, i am less neurotic and insecure, I know more about the world around me, I know what it is now to love and to be loved, i care less what people think of me.... etc etc

Who, of all the people in the world, has your favorite voice? You may pick male and female if you like, or can't narrow it down.
The woman who voiced Aerith for Final Fantasy 7 (all of them), anf the woman who voiced Lust for Full Metal Alchemist (yeah I know she exaggerated and made her voice more breathy and lengthy than it was, but sometimes it had this silky tone that was so beautiful!)

What subject area gave you, or gives you now, the most trouble in school? What was the most fun?
Chemistry in High School. Everything else was fun

The "If a tree falls in the forest and no one is there to hear it fall" question.... deep, pointless, or el caca de toro?
I don't understand what this is a metaphor for.

So, if you were put in charge of an ancient monastery/repository of infinite wisdom, and you had to test those who came to the gates, and either turn them away as unworthy, or let them pass... what would be your test?
What have you learned?

Sleep issues aside- do you prefer sunset or sunrise?
Sunset- dusk is my favorite time of day- there is another term for it- twilight i think. It is the way that everything is bathed in that soft, subtle, and fading light, among other things

Does history show, again and again, how nature points out the folly of men?
I am not one to point out the follies in men

What's your favorite short story, ever?
I dont have one

If you could be dramatically (1) more beautiful/handsome, (2) more funny, or (3) more wise which would you chose?
If I am to be any of those, I would rather let myself naturally progress toward those qualities in real time. The process and act of actively working toward something is rewarding in itself, each minute of it. Honestly! So I guess that only leaves more beautiful, because unfortunately, most cannot progress toward it, but REGRESS from it, LOL. Scratch that... MORE FUNNY. Without a doubt. Looks do fade. Beauty may make one smile on the outside, but inner beauty makes one smile on the inside, where it really counts

If you could be all three of the previous, or somewhat more lucky which would you chose?
Somewhat more lucky!

A- As a kid I was afraid of stepping into a time warp....not so much afraid of going to a different time as steping wrong and leaving behind a leg or something.
Q- What's the oddest thing in which you have sincerely believed?

SPOILERS! (Click to view)

decdied to spoiler so as not to take too much space.....

A- In many ways I am much the same person I have been since I was about 12. How different? With each year I get less and less conservative and softer. I'm practically a mushmallow by now.
Q-Are you the same person you were five years ago? If not, how different are you, and how?

A- Astrud Gilberto
Q- Who, of all the people in the world, has your favorite voice?

A- Anything above algebra and basic geometry. That and typing.
Q- What subject area gave you, or gives you now, the most trouble in school? What was the most fun?

A- Amusing and Quintessential
Q- The "If a tree falls in the forest and no one is there to hear it fall" question.... deep, pointless, or el caca de toro?

A- I'd see if they paid for a round of drinks when it is their turn
Q- So, if you were put in charge of an ancient monastery/repository of infinite wisdom, and you had to test those who came to the gates, and either turn them away as unworthy, or let them pass... what would be your test?

A-Sunset
Q-Sleep issues aside- do you prefer sunset or sunrise?

A-folly, greed, optimism, kindness, naivete are my tope five
Q- Does history show, again and again, how nature points out the folly of men?

A-geez, I can't think. How the grinch Stole christmas is one. Lots of Kipling or Twain make for fun reads, or Readers Digest entries, or Ellery Queen mysteries....I'll have to give that some thought.
Q- What's your favorite short story, ever?

A- a real toss up between wise and funny.....guess wise has to win out, but wise doesn't necessarily make those around you happy. funny is more fun.
If you could be dramatically (1) more beautiful/handsome, (2) more funny, or (3) more wise which would you chose?

A-Easy. All of the above and the rest would sort itself out.
Q-If you could be all three of the previous, or somewhat more lucky which would you chose?

SPOILERS! (Click to view)

What's the oddest thing in which you have sincerely believed? I believe that my grandparents who are dead occasionally nudge my customers into reminding me of them. That's kind of odd. But there is obviously more to the world than what we humans know.

Are you the same person you were five years ago? Oh god. I was fifteen. No. I was depressed. I was difficult, I didn't understand myself, I didn't understand other people. I've grown up so much since then. I hope so anyway.

Who, of all the people in the world, has your favorite voice? You may pick male and female if you like, or can't narrow it down. Robert Plant.

What subject area gave you, or gives you now, the most trouble in school? What was the most fun? I couldn't do French or geography. And though I was top set in a grammar school I hated maths. I liked art and RE. I liked subjects where I could argue and debate and give opinions and have people make me think about my views.

The "If a tree falls in the forest and no one is there to hear it fall" question.... deep, pointless, or el caca de toro? Overused out of context. Bleurgh.

So, if you were put in charge of an ancient monastery/repository of infinite wisdom, and you had to test those who came to the gates, and either turn them away as unworthy, or let them pass... what would be your test? I would question their morals. I would ask what made something morally wrong or right, and then when they told me, I would ask "but why that? And why that?" until they either presented me with some kind of evidence that convinced me they had reasons to think what they did, and I'd let them pass, or they'd say "because it just is" or "it's irrational like that" and I'd turn them away.

Sleep issues aside- do you prefer sunset or sunrise? At the moment sunrise. There's so much daylight! I like it. Sunlight is a good cure for depression.

Does history show, again and again, how nature points out the folly of men? Oh indeed. Humans aren't very good at being good.

What's your favorite short story, ever? I don't know, but once I wrote a short story, just a couple of sides, of inside the mind of a suicide bomber. It was really enlightening to try and understand why someone would do that, and it made me think a lot.

If you could be dramatically (1) more beautiful/handsome, (2) more funny, or (3) more wise which would you chose? Oh, funny. No competition. I make people laugh already, so I'd like to be even better at that. Actually, I think I'm quite wise already, I don't feel I need more, I'd just get frustrated by everyone else's ignorance in comparison. And as for being attractive... eh... the people who count think I'm beautiful.

If you could be all three of the previous, or somewhat more lucky which would you chose? I think being all those things would make you luckier... I don't actually believe in luck. It's all down to how you perceive the world, the effort you put in, and random chance which isn't luck, it's just random for everyone.

How was that?

I have actually watched both- but the version with the voice that I really like is the English dubbed version- Lust's voice is really dreamy and silky- almost ethereal- full of dreams and fantasies and all things that promise to take you away from this world

- I believe in ghosts...that to many people is odd

- definitely not...In some ways I'm stronger, I know more, I've figure out more about myself and I know who I am more now than ever...I still struggle, but I've survived a lot.

- male:
Maynard James Keegan
or
Dallas Green

female:
Sharon Den Adel

- Math. I cannot grasp numbers. Most fun was drama for me - I loved acting.

- Blah - overused!

- I would ask them to explain to me what their most humbling moment was, and what they learned from it.

- sunset

- Does it ever.

- I dislike short stories with a passion.

- Wise. I could always use more wisdom in my life.

- I'd like to be all three of the previous - I feel that "luck" is created by fate..
