Finals are killing me a little bit.

Currently working on a fifteen page paper... which is based on a five-word prompt and one book.

Nothing else is new, really. Had to postpone second tattoo since I got laid off and can't afford extra things.
Getting a dog this summer when I move into my new place, hopefully taking Spanish classes so I dont totally waste the summer working!

Oh and follow me on Twitter.com/gracysaurus!

i finally got my tattoo done!

all thats left now is to get my parents to be okay with it so I can get the rest of them!!

the left side (wheat) is for my grandfather, who was always steady and earthy - and his last name roughly translated means wheat in Hungarian
the right side (lily of the valley) is for my grandmother, theyre her favorite flower and we used to pick them together.

they were like a second set of parents to me and i miss them terribly!

so i had to take a couple month hiatus from this site- mostly because at home / my summer job, the internet was slow and i was too busy to have any fun!

but now i'm back, thanks to januseyes!

not a whole lot is new.
i still love and constantly seek out sushi:

BUT i finally made the appointment for my first tattoo! i drew it and its finally perfect, so i went to Visual Addiction (which is one of the most trustworthy places i know) and set it up for thanksgiving break

my parents still arent on board, they think i should make the design into a necklace instead..but..thats not really feasible.

it seems like everytime i go home now, i spend most of my time
outside:

or with Josh: (also usually outside. or in various stores taking ridiculous pictures. see also)

yes, thats guitar hero in walmart. its a small town, what do you expect?

which are both fine by me..but i feel bad for ignoring my other friends from home and stuff. but when it really comes down to it, i'm only ever home for like 48 hours or a couple days..i'd rather spend all of it with my best friend and my family. sorry, four other people from my high school i care even a little about.

speaking of school
its not going too badly - science is still kicking my ass, but at least i'm in enjoyable humanities classes now.
i'm pretty set on law school. looking mostly at UMaryland and Rutgers for now

lets see, i think thats all for life-updates!

i just spent the weekend back home, to try and stop my binge drinking and to get a haircut (which is my overused but still effective way of getting over guys (the more devestating the breakup, the more drastic the hair change. this time i went for three inches off and choppy layers. that says something about him))
and i was thinking, as i bullied her into taking silly photographs, that i really love my mom
and i'm really glad that i was never the 'typical teenager' who pushed her mother away and was mean to her and used her for money and all that. because there were some times in undergrad and still that i really needed her to be there, just be there as my mother. we lead really different lives, so a lot of my specific experiences she can't relate to, but as a general rule, she's one of the greatest friends i've ever known.

whatever and she's got a darn cute smile, too

I hate homeless people.
well not really, but i hate the last one to sit in this chair at our campus coffee shop.

So i'm sitting politely and quietly at this table, trying to write my column for the newspaper tomorrow, and something smells like sweat. old sweat, like i-worked-out-in-this-shirt-8-hours-ago-and-didnt-change-and-kept-sweating.
and therefore i spent nearly 40 minutes trying to covertly sniff all my clothing. i was sure it wasnt me, and it wasnt.
eventually i discovered that it was the chair.
thanks a lot homeless people, for making me look like a retarded half-human half-dog with dementia in public.

confused

recent epiphany: indie kids are really sneaky, fashion wise.
they never wear those noisy athletic pants or north face vests, and they dont wear pants with chains and dangly things like goth kids often do
ergo
you dont hear an indie kid in a peacoat and ballet flats sneaking up on you

one of my best friends surprised me at school and tackled me. i was thrilled, and would not have been surprised if she had been dressed differently. just a thought
