...it's been a while since my last blog, did you miss me? I don't think so... tongue
i can't believe i'm still single but i'm happier than 98% of people who act happiness...

meanwhile jack dead at 50 (in spite of his paranoid health fanatic mania!) and one of my youth hero, Farrah 'Angel' Fawcett, dead at 62: it seems to be a sad summer to me! blackeyed

now, here's a trailer of my new favorite animation movie... Adam Elliots ambitious first feature-length clay animation is delightful!! the film perfectly uses visual wit to help tackle an array of very real societal issues, which are honestly and convincingly explored. Elliot might just be on his way back to the Oscar podium in 2010...

enjoy smile

Wow... it feels kinda strange to write a journal here + on myspace... I don't wanna say the same things twice!
I'm sure I'll think of something to write here though... but for now I'm having tonnes of fun looking around wink

yesterday i watched Breakfast on Pluto ...2005, i know, by Neil Jordan... and i was so surprised to see in it Brian Ferry, acrting like a maniac, and -especially!- Virgin Prunes's Gavin Friday, ancting a strange musician with strange friends of E.T,A. tongue

Filled with a staggering amount of great pop songs from the legendary first-glam-era, Breakfast is an inspiring ode to individual human spirit that i want suggest to all of you!

Today i'm listening to... love

As the leader of Britain's Arctic Monkeys, Alex Turner creates spiky neo-post-punk that avoids any revivalist fuddy-duddyism. But Turner's new side project, a collaboration with Miles Kane of Merseyside indie-poppers the Rascals, is a shameless nostalgia trip — and it's still compelling. Their debut pays homage to the moody symphonic sound of early David Bowie, Lee Hazlewood and other stars of the late Sixties and early Seventies (Ennio Morricone?). While reverb-swathed acoustic guitars churn in minor keys against a backdrop of swooping strings, Turner croons midnight-of-the-soul confessions: "It's torture/Locked inside the chamber/Cornered by yourself." The band cribs every string-orchestra glissando and flash of dissonance from cult singer Scott Walker's book, but the fierceness of the music — and of Turner's voice — makes the old moves sound fresh. In "Separate and Ever Deadly," he describes the pall that descends on his town after his girl leaves: "Now the pavements have nothing to offer/And all the faces seem to need a slap." He's got all the gloom of the misanthrope we know from Arctic Monkeys. smile

Sweden 1 - Rest of The World 0

Changes. Sweden’s Pirate Party, which wants an internet filesharing free-for-all, is one of the surprise entrants to the European Parliament after winning 7.4 per cent of the vote. smile

The party, which also wants to beef up internet privacy, was founded in January 2006 and quickly attracted members angered by Swedish laws that criminalise filesharing and authorise the monitoring of e-mails. Its membership shot up after a court in Stockholm sentenced four men in April to a year in jail for running one of the world’s biggest filesharing sites, the Pirate Bay. Voters had their revenge last night by electing at least one of the Pirate Party as an MEP.

“When the verdict was announced at 11.00am, we had 14,711 members,” said Rick Falkvinge, the party’s founder. “We tripled in a week, becoming the third-biggest party in Sweden in terms of numbers. All of a sudden we were everywhere.”

In Sweden’s general election in 2006 the Pirate Party won only 0.6 per cent of the vote. wink
