i just found out that i'm getting laid this weekend. it's been almost 3 months now.

for those who don't yet know: i've been removed of my membership from SGFL. which is sad for me.. that group used to be pretty spectacular as far as events went. during my years as owner, i worked really hard buliding attendance from 4 people per event to 30 people per event. and to this day, many of my best friends come from those outings.

but over the last year, it's gone back down to 4 people per event. most of my friends that made the group great have all quit the site over the years and, luckily, i still talk to most of them in some capacity or another.

gonna miss you, SGFL. hopefully one day someone will come along and restore your glory.

talked to the ex again via email and discussed some things.

now, like it's supposed to, my hurt is turning into anger.

how damaged am i that i feel more at home hating someone than missing them?

i'm gonna go be self-destructive now.

i'm a ray of sunshine. i know.

as some of you may know, today is jewish new years.

it's also my father's birthday. except he died 10 years ago. and was jewish.

and two months ago i went on hiatus dating this girl i very much liked but had some things she needed to work out. and yesterday she told me those things won't get figured out and that we're pretty much through.

today, on new years, i tried to take my mind off things by watching two tv shows. the first featured two couples who were going through break ups. the second featured a girl whose father was dying.

i've said it once and i'll say it again: god hates a jew.

happy fucking new years. i can tell it's gonna be a good one.

so, i think i'm watching too much food network.

the other day, i was just sitting around and thought it would be really good to make a crostini with olive oil, pureed white beans, crisped pancetta, and chopped baby spinach.

then today i was trying to figure out what to make for lunch tomorrow (i have 8 hours of classes with no break) and didn't want to make a sandwich. my solution? turkey burger with pepper jack cheese and sauteed onions and mushrooms with barbecue sauce.

and yesterday for dinner i made this stir fry of chicken and bamboo shoots seasoned with fresh thai basil, chili paste, ginger, and garlic. that went atop some coconut basil jasmine rice.

the problem with all this?

i think i'm channeling all my creative juices into dinner instead of the novel i'm writing.

at least my roommates are happy.

so, it's been about a month. in that time, i....

finished my internship.
became "separated" from my gf while she tries to work some stuff in her life out.
went to DC to get drunk with a brown man.
had two lesbian gf's come up to visit me.
did not have a threesome with them.
did not lose the 7 pounds i gained earlier in the year that my body refuses to shed.
read Gaiman's American Gods.
finally finished the first three chapters of the book i'm writing.
slid said chapters across the desk to my boss at my internship (fingers crossed).
completed several dozen crossword puzzles.
saw District 9 (very good), Eagle Eye (terrible), Way of the Gun (not too bad), In Bruges (fucking crazy), and The Wrestler (not what i expected, but good).
and am currently in Boca visiting my mom and sis.

spent a LOT of money. lost a fair share too, mostly playing roulette (which i blame on my brother).

though i'm mostly disappointed cause i didn't get to kill any hookers while i was there.

i did, however, get really drunk the first night and ended up asking random women if they were whores.
