so i just got a phone call, it looks like that im still leaving on tuesday. now ive gotta redo all of my plans and such for when i leave, im so fucking stressed now

So im really pissed. I went down to drill this weekend and got hurt. Because of that they told me I cant ship to basic training next week and that I may not be leaving till September/October. So now i have to find a job that isn't gonna mind me up and leaving after a couple months.

Well its getting close to me leaving...so im gonna start asking for peoples addresses so i can write them while im down at basic, seeing as i wont be here to leave comments and hang around chat. Just message them to me and ill try to write you while im away. also if you can find me as a facebook friend ill be trying to post my address there for people to see as well.

Yep, im still alive. Starting the final countdown to my departure. 36 days till I'm no longer a person, 36 days to enjoy life, 36 days left to relax, 36 days left to worry.

So its been a while since i posted anything here, hell its been a while since I've really done more than look at the site for longer than 10 minutes...I've been really busy with work and all. Also I've been kinda depressed lately. The fact that I'm starting to make my final plans for when i finally leave in July, and how I'm starting to have issues with my family again is really getting to me. A lot of my time has been spent sitting in front of my computer writing letters to a lot of people in my family who mean a lot but who don't want to speak to me. I'm arranging for them to be sent out while I'm away at basic, hopefully they will help to ease the tension in the relationships. On the plus side, ive been getting more and more responsibilities at work and have pretty much moved up into the second-in-command position in my team. I finally decided to change my profile pic too...now that I'm not attending Mass Maritime anymore, I think that i should change over a lot of stuff.

So i finally went ahead and decided to try for my amateur radio license. I found out that the radio club my father is a part of was having a "License in a Weekend" course. In two days I went from knowing next to nothing about ham radio to missing only 1 question on my license exam! When i told my dad that i had passed he was really happy. So now he's gonna take me up to get my first radio next week as soon as i officially get a callsign.


EDIT: I got my callsign...KB1QKF...YAY!!!

So another weekend spent playing in the mud with Uncle Sam. Dealt with the usual bullshit, PT...PT...training...PT...getting smoked...training...rain...pissing off a drill sergeant....PT...you get the picture. At least this was better than other months...no one completely and totally fucked up. Got two days off then back to work. This new job is actually pretty fun, though the hours completely suck ass. 1-11pm...all i have time to do now is work, sleep, and maybe eat. At least it pays decent

So i hung out with Ravioli today. Had a great time. Hopefully ill be getting a real paycheck sometime soon...then i can start having fun with peoples wishlists....
