Go Bammy Go! We were a split household when the primary came to PA, but as the race progressed, we managed to have some party unity. I'm REALLY hoping that the rest of the nation follows suit. McCain is one scary SOB. 100 year war, indeed.

In other news, all is well in frinky-land. E's sister has a baby due any minute now. It's very exciting.

Thanks to all who sent out birthday wishes yesterday. It was, indeed, a very festive day. E arranged a surprise bowling party for me and all my homeys came out of the woodwork. Also, it was reminiscent of those awesome parties I had when I was 10 and they had the creepy "party room" in the bowling alley where a clown might show up. But alas, a) I never got a clown (and this time was no exception), and b) there seemed (thankfully) to be no mysterious back room.

Hope everyone else is having a groovy weekend.

It's a big day in PA! We're actually getting a say in the presidential nomination for the first time in god-knows-how-long. I'm very excited. While I voted for Bammy, I honestly wish there were a lever for "Obama, but, seriously, they're both so far above anyone the Republicans could field that I can't believe there even is a general election." There wasn't, however.

So to my fellow keystone-staters, go out and vote!

So in honor of Pennsylvania's unprecedented nominatorial importance this election cycle, the Colbert Report has been broadcasting from Philadelphia all week, and your old pal, Frinky, scored himself a ticket, he did (alas, Mrs. Frinky couldn't make it). I've actually seen a taping before, but this was unbe-freakin-lievable.

Live in the studio, there was Hillary (who was goofy, but not very funny), John Edwards (who was literally laugh-out-loud funny), and Representative Pat Murphy (D, from Bucks County) who was brought in during the last election cycle, and is the only member of Congress to have served in Iraq. He is also a VERY vocal Obama supporter (as is Frinky, by the way). Then Obama came on at the end (via telecast, alas) and put "Distractions" "on notice" (apologies for the excessive use of quotes).

Also, the guy who plays Ben Franklin downtown was there. That guy is awesome.

Anyway,if you look carefully, you may even see me among the 1000 or so students in the audience.

Yours

Even though we are just about the least Jewy Jews there are (see, I can't even spell Jewy), Mrs. Frinky and I are gonna throw olde timey Seder this weekend. It'll be suffering-tastic.

Oh my, but it's been a while since I've posted anything here, and for those of you who've been anxiously awaiting updates of married life, I apologize. For those of you who are thinking about it, I strongly recommend it. It gives men a chance to wear jewelry without resorting to god-awful chain necklaces.

Also, we caught a Philly Film festival film last night. It was called "The Hidden Kingdom" and had Jackie Chan and Jet Li. I dunno. It seemed a little too mainstream (and ridiculously cliched), but it was fun. Today, we're checking out the Star Wars exhibit at the Franklin Institute.

Hope all is well in SG-land.
