I rarely post here because I am so busy shooting lately but I figured I should at least post quarterly.

I am writing a new script and hope to shoot it in the next 6 months.

I have been working on a lot of photo sets for a new coffee table book so I have been busy with that.

I was given an iPod Touch as a gift and since I have never owned an iPod I am a little obsessed with it. I seriously love it. I am able to carry my portfolio around with me and show clients, watch movies and music videos, listen to music and surf the web so I am pretty thrilled with it. (I guess some people use laptops or sidekicks for the same thing but I don't so this thing is awesome... and I am easily impressed!

Aside from all of the forests around Orange County that I shoot in burning and my throat and lungs aching, life is okay!

Wish us some rain so our wildlife isn't further damaged.

So, weirdly... during my lull in movie making since moving from NYC to California, something strange happened... I got into photography and it turned into something I never expected it to and I am loving it!

I am always looking for new people to shoot with so drop me a line if you are interested and I would obviously love to shoot some SG sets...

So, I don't really post messagees here because everything I have to say is either done on my site Mondopopsickle.com or my MySpace page. I am working on Mondopopsickle.com full time and am focusing on photography which can be seen at my Flickr stream. It is almost February. I am glad I stuck around for another year as there is so much to love about SG! I am getting ready to make a crazy movie about censorship and control and am really excited about the project. There, I updated.

I am leaning towards not renewing my membership to SG in December. I have linked SG from my site for awhile now, Mondopopsickle and feel like it is time to start living in the real world more. With the possibility of having a baby this year and wanting to focus on shooting my movie, I need to spend less time online and start saving money. I don't know. We shall see.

Busy. Living in Irvine is so much more culture shock than I ever thought I would have to endure. I miss NY's people and the energy, but I love the weather and the beaches here.

I am revamping my movie site site and getting ready to pick our next project, (something super sexy, dirty and weird,) but for the moment I am shooting a short film for my wife's job, and it has been fun.

Being a low budget operation with leanings towards film noir horror and sci-fi, (as if it were made in 1968,) we usually have a hard time finding talent who gets what we are aiming for. "Yeah, its Get Carter with Michael Caine meets Danger: Diabolik meets El Topo meets Lost Highway, Vampyros Lesbos, I.K.U., Junk, St John's Wort, Le Pacte Des Loups, etc?"

Our luck is starting to change and we have gotten a lot of inquiries lately. 10 years of low budget movie making in NYC was the best film school I could have ever asked for.

I really hate Hollywood. I hate that audiences are getting dumber and that the general public accepts so much that is crammed down their throat.

I love that the internet has opened up so many possibilities for indie movie makers. If only a few people ever saw my movies and I only ever sold them through the web site, this would be enough for me. (I make the movies for myself anyway, and the handful of people who like what I like.)

Anyway, we're selecting our next project from one of my 40-odd scripts and will shoot much of it in SoCal and in front of a green screen over the next year, (the most likely project looks to be Bulletproof Voyeur, a surreal, survival horror, experimental movie.)

I'm going to post some pictures here soon and start checking back here more regularly because SG really brings the best people in the world together.

The new script is finished! I am pleased to say it is my favorite. If I can get together some financing and a good cast, we will shoot at the end of the Summer/Early Fall. My web site Mondopopsickle is getting a lot of traffic and positive feedback and I am enjoying it and looking for writers to contribute reviews and articles.

I'm finishing up the new script this week and going into heavy pre-production. I am gradually meeting some great film people out here in Cali, but I need to find some actors and actresses.

I watched the movie "Closer," and liked it if only for Clive Owen's performance. Anybody who doesn't see that he should be the next Bond shouldn't be in charge of the next Bond movie.

Is it weird to be too shy to play Halo 2 online with strangers? I thought so too so after months of playing by myself, I finally started online. Its the crack cocaine of video games! So much fun! Hellevator - Bottled Fools - Gusher No Binds Me finally came out on DVD! I have waited for this Japanese movie for so long and it was worth it! Working on my horror movie, Bulletproof Voyeur, and need the right actress! Must finish the script this week! Can't wait for Sin City the movie. The Academy Awards were a joke! American mainstream movies have really sucked hard lately. That is all for now.

I always wonder whether anyone actually reads this thing and I feel kind of stupid posting, but whatever. I'm not net savvy even though I have 3 other web sites, but I do what I can. I am finishing my first novel this week. That feels good. I'm also re-writing a script for something I want to film in the next few months and if I can find the right group of people, I should get that done, as well. My kittens are rock stars. I should post some pics.
