Here we are at day one of my new weekend . I'm finally on my regular schedule at work , which means I'll be off Fridays & Saturdays . Been waiting for this . And it's turned out to be a pretty nice day here too .
However I am fairly broke . Between the banks & such f'ing up my car payments , I have no $ here to play with . Next pay I'll be getting some precious OT pay , so that'll help . Probably all going to bills again though .

So I'm a week late , oh well . We had a truly great time . The hotel we were in is in the Fell's Point area of the city , right by the water front . Also right next to Max's , with over 50 beers on tap 
And Slainte Irish pub , where we had some amazing tasting pub fare . The menu is very simple reading , lots of sandwiches & apps . But the actual food was just probably the best I've had at a pub yet .
Wednesday we were out all day . Got a day pass for the water taxis & used it liberally . We took the duck tour , which was quite a lot of fun . I mainly wanted to do it so we could get a idea of where some of the places of interest are in the city . Hit the Aquarium , again . I still have yet to go to the science museum despite wanting to go there every time I've been to Baltimore .
Maybe tonight ( if not , this weekend for sure ) I'll put up a new folder of pics from our trip . I did get some good ones this time .

My gf decided she needed to try using heated glass cups on my aching back . Did I ever mention she's a sadist too ? No joke , for real , she is . Meanwhile I'm not into pain , either dealing it or receiving . Is it any wonder we don't have sex much ?
So , I put photos of the new vehicle in my photo file . Just look for the bright green one . I also called off work today because it was just too nice out . So shoot me . Been doing ok for the most part . Aside from taking the Paxil , I am also taking supplements for my arthritis . I have it bad in my shoulders , & when it flares up it basically gives me tendinitis down my arms in my elbows & down into my wrists . Needless to say , it's been acting up big time the last 2 weeks . It's supposed to take 3 weeks before they start kicking in , so I'll let you know how that goes soon .

Figured this was as good a time as any for a quick update . Job is going very well . My biggest problem is being surrounded by so many good looking women ( the man to woman ratio at the Red Cross is about 30/70 leaning towards the women ) . Who knew Philly had so many hotties ? Not I .
In other news I bought a new car . I'll try to put a photo up of it but I suck at it . I may just put them in one of my albums later . I'm afraid I have too go now as someone is waiting to cup my back ( don't ask ) .

Ok , paxil round two . I am now taking two pills a day . And this has made a huge improvement . I'm actually feeling happy at work & upbeat about life in general again . Which is very cool indeed . Hoping to be able to make it to the Philly event next month , but don't want to say I'll be there & have to cancel again .
Somewhat tired tonight but at least the weekend is finally here . And I intend to do a lot of lounging around . Weather is supposed to be pretty damned incredible here , right around 80 with no humidity after tonight . I'll probably get up & hit the bookstore early in the morning . Sadly that's about all the excitement I can afford

Really doesn't seem like 3 weeks since I last posted , but it's been close to that . Upping my dosage of paxil has been ok , but no real immediate benefits . Other then feeling rather high yesterday when I had a couple of beers
Been working steady . Things have slowed down some . I have been told that the summer is the slow season for blood drives & such . Figures when you consider folks are vacationing & schools are closed so there are no drives going on in them .
I don't know . Even with the pills I'm still feeling rather ambivalent about life in general . I mean , feeling very " what's the point / why should I care " . Then I look at the 20 year old cat laying at my feet , who's only worry is where is his next can of wet food coming from . And I have to admit I'm jealous of him & the life he's had . That's not too shallow , is it
One last thing . Go see Drag Me Too Hell if you get a chance . It is both funny & rather gross , but not in a gory way . Kind of depends on how you feel about insects & other crawly things . But it is a very enjoyable horror movie , even if it is PG13 .

Someone else didn't want to go that far So anyway , we went to a place in the middle of nowhere called Ortino's Northside . Which is a bit north & east of Limerick PA . Food was pretty good this time . They have the most amazing beer list I've seen yet . I'll post a link so you can take a gander at their beer list . I had BBQ ribs & they were pretty damned good .
I'm doing better with the Paxil now . Not having the " focusing " issues like earlier . I have found myself laughing a bit more again , but nothing like I was on the Prozac . If I didn't have that stupid allergic reaction ...
Anyway , I have a follow up with the MD on the 16th . I want to tell him that the pills do help but aren't really helping me with my anger issues ( something else the Prozac did a better job of ) . We'll see , maybe by then the Paxil will have helped there too .
Job is going ok , still enjoy it as much if not more then my older jobs , still hate the drive . Some days . Others it's not so bad to me mentally . Just thinking it out , on work days I spend close to 11 & 1/2 hours on 8 hours of paid work . Doesn't hardly seem right , eh ? Or worth it . Once the economy starts turning around again , I'm going to look for something closer to home again . I realize it'll be a while yet though , so I'm in for the long haul right now .

So , how's the Paxil ? Well , other then the fact it's giving me issues with focusing on things ( I do mean visually , for some reason I can't see to see the way I did before taking them ) it seems to doing ok so far . It's not really making me happy the way the prozac did , but I'm not breaking out in hives either . Let me get a couple of weeks of them under my belt before I give a fair assessment .
Did some juggling of my favorites today . Al will probably always be my number 1 even though she hasn't been around for a while now . And Ember is just plain amazing . Was looking at some of Annalee's sets again today & couldn't believe she wasn't already on my list , so I remedied that .
It is way too nice for me to have to go into work today . I just have to keep telling myself " 3 day weekend coming up " . I believe we'll be going into Philly this weekend & having some good beer & grub . Maybe hit Monk's or Eulogy . This weekend is a prime time to go into town , as everyone else will have left for the beach or the mountains . Leaving the eateries all for me !
