I’m old and ugly
and you don’t want me,
though my words are here
and they floe like honey,
Slow and sweet and down (down, down)
your body
and in your ears and on your neck
linger longer than you expect
seeping lower, sleeping deeper
keeping passion well beneath her,
A distant view so far away
never knowing what to say,
but think you do and here i am
a friend a ghost,
a poet man.
