It's time for me to start planting little seeds. After a two-year drought of releasing new material, 2009 is primed for my "big" comeback. I've got two new projects slated for release and I'm really excited about them. The first release (from Fantagraphics Books) is Connective Tissue, which is definitely the weirdest, most hard to categorize book I've ever done. I guess the best way to describe it would be the copy for the catalogue:
"Video store clerk Darla Vogel is fed up. Fed up with her job, her perpetually baked roommate, with everything. But when one of the customers at Kwok's Video -- a precocious home-schooled kid with dreams of chemically engineering authentic meat-flavoring -- offers her some of his meat-tinged candies, Darla takes a plunge down the rabbit hole into a surreal world of throbbing, veinous buildings, compulsory public nudity, weird creatures and more. If William S. Burroughs, Lewis Carroll, H.P. Lovecraft and Harvey Kurtzman had a mutant baby, it might resemble creator Bob Fingerman's bold new confection, Connective Tissue."

So, this is my first entry on Suicide Girls. I\'ve already got a couple of other blogs (at MySpace and Live Journal), so at a certain point a feeling of monomaniacal narcissism sets in. How much does the world need to know about me and how much do I want to share? I don\'t do the \"today I got up and had eggs\" jazz. Who the hell cares what I (or anyone else) ate on any given day? Family problems? My business. But the creative process, stuff like that? I\'m all over it.
