so i went to see alice in wonderland with my friend yesterday. it was amazing. flat out fucking fantastic. i'm not gonna really talk about it at all cause i dont want to ruin it for people, but awesome.

instead, here's the poem jabberwocky by lewis carroll which is of significant relevance to the movie...

`Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe:
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.

"Beware the Jabberwock, my son!
The jaws that bite, the claws that catch!
Beware the Jubjub bird, and shun
The frumious Bandersnatch!"

He took his vorpal sword in hand:
Long time the manxome foe he sought --
So rested he by the Tumtum tree,
And stood awhile in thought.

And, as in uffish thought he stood,
The Jabberwock, with eyes of flame,
Came whiffling through the tulgey wood,
And burbled as it came!

One, two! One, two! And through and through
The vorpal blade went snicker-snack!
He left it dead, and with its head
He went galumphing back.

"And, has thou slain the Jabberwock?
Come to my arms, my beamish boy!
O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!'
He chortled in his joy.

`Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe;
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.

and i'll leave you with a fantastic song i've probably already posted

I'm going to see that movie soon. It's my favorite director & actor doing (a revisit of) my favorite book, sooo, you know. wink

$250 (down frm $500) plus travel costs, 1 night in a hotel, and the possibility of missing 2 days of work. surreal

I know. Hence the hesitancy.

I can try, but everyone on my "team" pretty much works the same days / shifts.

It doesn't work like that. They won't be able to do my job, and I might not be able to do theirs. That's why they are on a different team.
