I am entering the blogosphere. The air up here's a bit thinner then I imagined. And the air is dryer. Like how Arizona feels to someone used to humid continental climates.
You know that feeling when you have been on an international flight to some exotic destination? You are looking forward to sunny weather, pleasant dispositions, palm trees, and coctails garnished with umbrellas and marischino cherries, expecting to be greated with someone looping a lay made of REAL flowers on over your head. EXCEPT, you are still on the plane. You're not there yet. And, what's worse. You're struggling to get out of the bathroom because the lock is stuck and some geriatric geezer is trying to bust the door open. You've been splashing water on your face trying to look a little less like a strung out junkie. You are trying not to feel that 3rd layer of recycled air grime and all of the jetlag that is chasing you down something fierce. Welcome to the liminal hopscotch of my delightfully delicious geometric and perfectly calculated cake from which I am about to jump out of and yell: SUPRISE, you MO'FO, as I splash a drink in your face. You have finally arrived to your destination. Welcome!
