To me this award means a lot because it shows that the human element of music is what's important. People ask me, what is MY NEW SHOW about, what am I trying to achieve and all. Well, its all about the music. really its that simple. that concept seems to confuse people for some reason that eludes me. its just so simple to me, but as soon as I say it I get a grocery list for 12 on what I should could and more importantly NEED to do to be attract a widesperad audience and garner what people call "success" Well if you ask me, that way of thinking is exactly what has ruined music in just about every media form out there. Its prob why the radio show Ive done for the last three years has less listeners that it should. But the ones I do, generally stay with me for 3-6 hours...continuously in my chat room. Some of them are from the UK and get up at around 4-5 am to be there, every week. They make my cool buttons and other schwag for MY SHOW, and hell..they made the chat room Im using. But they stay that long for the music. and the stories, the jokes, the mistakes and disasters. But the important thing is they stay. MY NEW SHOW works on that same principle, its all about the music. It always has been about the music, in every aspect of my life since I was about 12 years old. I worked for bands, play in bands, write articles and photograph bands, all for the last 30+ years. So I am more than confident I can create a conversation with anyone, anytime, anywhere. Which is why this show will travel to other venues, and have new conversations, and new music, or old music, but it will be ROCK music for the most part. It will be Metal, Punk, whatever mood I'm in and what holds my attention, and I would like to listen to, watch and discuss. Cause thats what we who truly love the music do. Always have and always will. I get it, the kids from The School Of Rock who are will open every show get it. because its so simple, they get it. Thats the human element that Dave Grohl speaks of in the opening quote, learning to play your instrument, knowing your craft, because the camera, the board mix, and the 16 year olds playing on MY NEW SHOW wont lie. So if you want to play on MY NEW SHOW you better bring it. Isnt that what it was always all about at one time for all of us? The Music...is what its all about..

On with MY NEW SHOW....I take a few minutes to talk to THE ATOMIC BITCHWAX about a few things. Particularly these beautiful and oddly unique StaVent Custom Drums(btw-the silver is the Slingerland 57 mentioned...you'll see). Proof is definitely in the pudding, but if you watched part 1 you know that by now. And for the record regarding the Floyd cover, yes I know the vocals are low....but that Gibson sings loud enough for me.
everyone who wants to be on MY NEW SHOW better bring it. Don't let the house band smoke you, cause the camera and the board doesn't lie. Not to mention the fact that most of them arent old enough to even vote yet.

Well, before the stream shit the bed, I did manage to get some crankin tunes goin. And ya get to learn lots of stuff. But I added some pondering I did in the car last night, which led to my new complete understanding of the Universe and why we are here....and yes it came out of listening to RUSH HA!
