Rehearsed yesterday for our July 11th gig in Carbondale, IL. Woohoo! If anyone is available and in the area next Friday, come on down to Booby's Beer Garden and watch us crush Carbondale. Should be a good time. You must 19 to enter and 21 to forget.

I'm readying my query letter for my novel to send off to agents. Plus, I'm in the process of writing a new short story called Endless Road to Ruin. I came up with the idea in the shower. WTF? This is the 2nd story idea I've had in the shower...apparently I need to take more showers! HAHAHA

Gotta get back to work next week since July is here, and my time of hanging out working only 1 day a week is officially over. However, I've decided I will NOT work anymore Fridays until school starts again. smile

It's hotter than Hades here in Illinois this week and I hate the sun...I prefer it to be dreary and cloudy all the time. It's more inspiring for me as a writer...I have trouble writing when it's sunny out. Ugh...So most of my writing happens at night or early in the morning.

Oh yes, almost forgot. July 27th...Summer Slaughter Tour comes to Sauget, IL. Necropolis will be there...watching. frown It's going to be a good show and we're looking forward to seeing Vader and Kataklysm for the first time. Should be bad ass...

OK, enough fucking rambling...back to your regularly scheduled programming.......

Yes, fellow citizens, it's time for another blog update! Woohoo! Been reading a lot lately. Just now getting through the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer. I'm nearly done with Eclipse and have already pre-ordered the final book in the series, Breaking Dawn. What's surprising about this series is that it's more about the romance of these characters than the whole vampire mythos. Generally, I'm not into vampires or romance stories but there's something about the combination of the two. It's very...appealing. I don't know how else to put it. smile

I'm now obsessed with Stephenie Meyer's writing style and just purchased her novel The Host a couple days ago. I'll be reading it next after Eclipse.

On a side note, I'm sending my own novel, Children of Darkness and Light, out to literary agents in July. Hopefully things will happen and someone will give it a shot. I'm just now finishing a novella based on my band's first CD called The Dead Season. It's got a bit of dark humor, but is very grisly as well. I have no idea what to do with it since it's only about 20,000 words so...who knows.

I'm beginning a young adult novel soon called The Stuff of Dreams. It will be a multi-book series and should be a lot of fun. My oldest daughter is helping me plot it out. She has a fantastic imagination. Plus, it will be a lot of fun just to share it with her.

Necropolis first gig as a two-man band is still slated for July 11th at Booby's Beer Garden...yes, you read that right. The venue is called Booby's. I figure we better see some boobies and Booby's! LOL Be there, and perhaps we'll all see some boobies...maybe even yours! LMAO

OK, enough rambling now....

The two-man wrecking crew is actually going to play a gig! That's right! Necropolis is playing Carbondale, IL on July 11th. Woohoo! And the best part is that the venue we're playing is called Booby's. Yes, Booby's. My favorite!

So, if any of you happen to be in the southern Illinois area July 11th, swing buy and prepare to be crushed. We are playing a whopping 30-minute set, but for two fat, old guys like us, it's 30 minutes of pure metal bliss. We have some rehearsal video snippets up on the MySpace page as well as some photos of us rehearsing in the garage...where it's damn hot!

We currently have a CD out called The Dead Season, so if you're interested in checking it out or downloading it, all the info is on our MySpace page.

OK, now for the SG stuff. I totally dig this site. There are a lot of cool people on here, which I didn't expect--of course, I'm not sure what I expected, but I didn't expect how kick ass everyone would be. Anyway, back to the fun...Keep it metal!
