Sorry for the short posts at the moment. Just found out I may be relocating countries so things are a little hectic.

I just wanted to express how much I love women... I love them SO FUCKING MUCH! They are cute, crazy and they smell nice. I adore them.

That is all.

Note to self: Must do some updating.

Life is about to get super busy...

I've just taken a position as a bartender in one of Sydney's busiest clubs, this is just after accepting a new full time position as an Art Director and turning a job down for Apple.
So I'll be working a good 72 hour week over 7 days for at least the next few months, so I'm glad I won't be starting Uni until next year.

Somewhere amongst all this I have to fit in: Conceptualising/shooting a music video, working on my gallery show, writing/finding an illustrator for my children's books, French lessons and maybe seeing my friends... If I have any left after all this. I've also inherited the SG Advertising group.

Right now, It's the calm before the storm.

Oooh.. And I met the cutest girl this evening at work. How, oh how will I get her to like me in 6 weeks before she leaves for London?

Sooo... Last night one of my best friends, who is a musician, played a gig with a whole host of other bands.

The most hilarious part was that it was supposed to be a kind of reunion of nu-metal/hard rock/metal bands from Sydney that in the past had played regularly at this venue(The Excelsior in Surry Hills)and while my good friend WAS in fact in such a band he his currently gone solo and is now a lot more in the vein of Jeff Buckley(He even played a JB song last night). Needless to say the aggressive, hyped crowd cleared out 30 seconds into their set... Damn funny.
None the less, they where amazing as usual and I was filming the whole thing so when I can get some video I'll post it up.

Here are some photos of post show shenanigans...

So apparently I'm not going to be nearly as dedicated to this blog as I had imagined. But as Lennon put it "Life is what happens to you while your busy making other plans." So here's an update...

I'm finally about to become a Newtown local, well kinda. I believe I'll shortly be working at Zanzibar. Which is great because my stipulation for going back into bar work was that I would get to work somewhere I would enjoy the atmosphere and for the most part I enjoy Newtwon.

This plan to enter the bar industry was in an effort to spend "a little" more time looking for work in my field. Funnily enough it looks as though I may find a job sooner than expected.

An advertising creative department is made up of several teams. These teams consist of an Art Director(That's me) and a Copywriter. Being in a team is kind of like marriage. Often you'll spend more time sitting next to this person than with your actual significant other. You have fights, get fucked up together, celebrate together and get awarded together... Considering most teams are made up of two males, it's often extremely homoerotic.

One of the many tasks I have to complete before getting a new job is find myself a new partner this week not only did I find myself a new partner I am going for a job with the partner I got into the industry with for the company I'd like to work for in Paris. Just to back track: I have plans to leave for Paris mid next year. I am an EU citizen thanks to my parents.

One last thing before I go, I believe I may be the only person in the world who hasn't seen The Usual Suspects. I'm going to have to sort this out.

Apologies if this rant has made no sense, but hey, it's ten to 3.

Ciao

Happy Belated ANZAC Day everyone... For international readers it's the day Australians(and Kiwis) commemorate the landing at Gallipoli in WWI some people consider it more important than Australia day. It's now kind of a "Thanks" to the armed forces of all major conflicts for keeping us safe (This is all debatable.)

I wanted more time to look for the right job so I decided to go back to bar work. I'd really like to work in Newtown as I already spend quite a bit of time there.
So, on Thursday I decided to go to some places that I've either had a bunch of fun at or just liked the vibe... Of course these are the usual suspects (Oh yes every now and then I can fit comfortably into a stereotype.)

But I had this funny experience... I've met only three people on SG and that's because I knew them before I joined (I coerced one of them into joining.)

Aaanyway I digress. I was walking past the station and walked past a SG member and noticed that this sort of activity was becoming a regular thing in my world. I've now met or ran into several people that only ever existed online... I supposed a lot more of that will be happening with the advent of the SGAU Ball.

That's all... I'm off to ponder the universe. surreal

.:|| Day 1 of 21 ||:.

On your mark... Get set... BWARP! False start

A Dismal failure. Didn't manage to get out of bed till 9:30am.I realise it's Sunday morning but I was so pumped to win this challenge. frown

I did however manage to Meditate(albeit only for 1/2 hour), do all my laundry, groom and clean every stray dish in the house. And visit my nephew

Tomorrow... Day 1: Take 2.

Possible distractions: Baby sitting extremely cute 5 year old niece.

We'll see how we go.

Ok. So... I was having a chat with a Psychologist a couple of weeks ago and he told me that it takes 21 consecutive days to form a routine. Apparently, as long as you make it past day 15, if you lapse you don't have to start again . Otherwise... DO NOT PASS GO, DO NOT COLLECT $200.

I've been struggling to get things done, especially since finishing up my last job contract. because I live my life in a chaotic, mercurial fashion and occaisonally suffer from, for lack of a better term, creative depression... Which just comes with the territory.

And also considering the abysmal 2007 I had. I thought it a good idea to add a loose structure to my life, especially now before I begin to work full time again.

The only real structure to it is the waking time and about 5 smalls tasks that need to happen everyday or so i.e. Waking at 6am, exercising for an hour, meditating for an hour, doing one thing to further my goals 12 for 2008, etc.

So I'll be counting down for the next 21 days and updating the blog to mark my progress. Feel free to check back in.

Wish me luck, I'm gonna fucking need it.

Woohoo!

It finally started to get cold in Sydney last week... This makes me so happy.

If there's one thing I can't stand it's summer.

Give me rain, snow, hail, sleet, fog, sub-zero temps, frost and all the good cold stuff(including getting naked and keeping each other warm under the doona. Actually especially that.)

biggrin
