I've come to realize a big drawback to Florida (well at least the part I'm living in). Dead season. I moved to a tourist trap and all the tourist are gone to this place is like a ghost town. With no people here I'm not making too much money at the restaurant... and somehow this has effected the radio station as well since they cut my hours (I was only getting 6 hours a week anyways). I can't wait for March! That's when things are suposed to pick up.

Oh... I'm going home to Ohio for Christmas. I think I arrive on the 21st and I'm leaving the 28th.

I think thats about it.

It's been awhile. I don't have the internet at home so I have to check things while I'm at work. Not too much to update anyways. Same ol same ol. I've been serving at a restaurant as well as working part time at the radio station. Just had a crazy birthday weekend. My roomate bought me a bottle of Jagermeister... killed that Friday night. Saturday I got rediculously fucked up after work thanks to some random chick who hooked me up with... a happy pill... lets put it this way a co-worker had to drive me home. Good times!

Things are going good in FLORIDA. It hot but fuckin A its August it's hot everywhere. I'm getting situated with the new radio station and maybe doing an airshift here and there in the very near future. Just gotta find some other way to make money until then... cocaines big down here maybe I'll become a dealer... just kidding I don't want to die.

All right everyone! I'm not sure if they have an internet connection down in the house in Florida yet. So this may be the last entry for a little while. Hopefully I'll be able to use the computers at the radio station when ever I want. I used to go into Clear Channel all the time when I didn't have the internet at home. Way better than the public library.

This last week has seriously been great! Rollergirls, Punknite, Sounds of the Underground, Havana. New friends and old will be missed.

Got a new tattoo. It's not the SGOhio icon either. I didn't want to commit an act of... how did Stirfry put it... extreme douche-baggery. I didn't know that the guy originally drew it as a tattoo for himself. I'd be pissed if someone stole my art without asking. The more I thought about it I wanted something OH but more "ME"... the slight changes I would've made wouldn't have cut it (possible hint). I wish I was more of a shutterbug and had a digital camera so I could post some pics. I guess you'll have to go out to Havana tomorrow to see it.

Enough with the good... because with me there's always a bad.

Last night I went out with some friends for a couple of drinks as a going away-last time we'll see you-kinda thing. We were hanging out after everyone left for a bit talking with one of the bartenders. We go to leave. Thats when I noticed the corner panel of my car is fucked up! (again I wish I had a camera to put up some pics) Someone hit me while I was in the bar! Thats twice now that my DRIVERS side has been hit and BOTH times I was parked! I only have liability so there was no reason to call the cops. Not a damn thing they could do but keep me up even longer.

Tomorrow I head back to the home town of, Walk-up-and-eat-her, to take care of some shiz-nit there.

I now have a part-time radio job down in FL!

Yesterday work was cancelled due to rain. So I took the free time as an opportunity to call some of the local restaurants and hotels in the Destin, FL area. I got the same response from everyone of them; "Come in and fill out an application when you get here".

After hearing that soooo many times I switched my persuit. I went to radiolocator.com and searched for rock stations in the destin area. I sent a short email to the pd's of these stations along with my demo and resume. Well I got a response today from one of the stations. The guy wanted to know when I was moving down and said he could work me in, he also wants me to call so we can "chat". I would call now but according to their webpage he's on-air at the moment. The station is more classic rock with some AC mixed in. David Bowie, Steely Dan, Bob Seger, Fleetwood Mac, Tom Petty, Stones, Morrison, Bob Marley, Jimmy Buffet (I hate Jimmy Buffet by the way), Greatful Dead (they have a program call "Dead at Bed")... so basically it will be like working at the X (kinda) some music I enjoyed surrounded by a lot of crap.

Nickelback wasn't on the list but it was only a partial list. Hopefully no puppies will die because of me anymore.

What a crappy day!
Seriously the last 24 hours haven't completely sucked but they've had their moments. Starting with last night when I "knicked" myself shaving my head, but it turned out not to be so much a "knick" as it was a gash. I ripped a patch of skin a little bigger than a dime from my head. It bled forever!!! Later that night the Jager Girls showed up at the bar and made me a Jager Bandaid .

I didn't go to bed until 5ish which was stupid since I had to wake up at 8:15 am. So I wake up and go to work. On my way to work a moving truck (or whatever it was) decided to change lanes and almost wrecked into me. Thankfully I was paying attention. I moved over til my tire was rubbing against the curb and hit my breaks. I started to follow them to get their licence number to try and get the fucker fired, well they pulled into McDonalds only half a block up. Man! My heart was racing. I was parked and out of my car in a flash. On my way over to the truck already cussing the driver while the passenger went inside to get food. "What are you fucking retarded! You almost ran me over!"

"I didn't see you in my rear-view," is what the choade told me.

I still have the licence plate saved in my phone.


Then there was work... it sucked nothing new there. Two more weeks til I leave this this... Armpit of America we call Dayton, OH and I can't wait.

Remember when marilyn manson was cool. That's right I'm rockin Portrait of an American Family. The other day I found myself singing the chorus to Get Your Gun and I just had to throw the disc in for ol' times sake.

Sold some old video games I don't play anymore today. Used the money to have my guitar restrung and adjusted (it needed some serious neck and bridge adjustments). Sounds fucking great now! Here's to a sixer and some METAL!!!

So....

Florida is happening! I've got a place to stay and (fingers crossed) at least a part-time radio gig. I'm sure I'll be able to find something to fill in the missing money. The place is a resort area... serving jobs are dime a dozen.

The property manager at my apartment complex is the greatest! She's letting me out of my lease 3 months early on some kind of moving for work clause. (yeah ah apparently they still have me on their records as working at my old job and she said just to say I was being transferred by that job.) I also put in my 2 weeks at my shitty car wash job.

So now I have no place to stay and no job in Ohio at the end of this month... no turning back at this point.

See ya Ohio... I'd rather you visit me in Florida but I supose I'll find time to come back and visit you.

Some big deal in dayton called X-fest 2 Double O 7 happens the very weekend of my birthday... I just might have to find a way home for that.

I'm too damn excited to leave OH!
