Dammit! First ODB dies then my laptop gets fucked up.
My computer was having problems, so I decided to reinstall windows. After I did this, I couldn't access the stuff I had in "My Documents" (important school stuff, my own music, downloaded music, SG photosets, etc...). It was still on the hard drive, I just couldn't get to it. I brought it in to get looked at. The guy said it was recoverable. He'd just have to copy my stuff onto another HD then sort through it and put back the important stuff. Turns out my hard drive had a bunch of viruses on it (despite my anti-virus software - fuck you McAffee!). My stuff was mostly salvaged, except that none of the files are in their folders, nor do they have names. It's not even worth my effort to go through 20 Gb of music, song by song, figuring out what's what. I'm just going to have to start building my collection again. Same goes for my SG sets I've been collecting. I don't think I have the patience to go through all my pics and sort them by sets (let alone order). I don't want to have to delete them and have to go through the website and save them pic by pic again either. Maybe I can find someone on the boards who has a good collection they can burn onto a CD for me.
I haven't looked yet, hopefully he saved my 9 page paper I had saved on here that was die two days ago. I still have to wait until I download MS Office again before I can check.
I've likely lost the songs I've recorded. I can probably track down the MP3s, but I don't have the files with all the individual pieces. So I can't edit them. That will be a pain if I ever want to play a show and need to take out the vocals so I can perform live. I think I have a few of them on my PC, but probably not all of them. Luckily I'm lazy and have only recorded 3.5 songs in the past year, so it's not a huge loss.

Oh ... if by "New Clutch" you mean Blast Tyrant .... hell yes. It's in the running to be my new favourite. I'm still deciding between the new one and the self titled one.

I hate it when I lose all my downloaded music! Until I own an ipod, I have to be wary of my stupid computer when it screws up... grrrrr
