5 days til the Ministry show in Chicago (plus Cubs, Brewers and White Sox games)
I still think that is one of the cooler things in the history of Ministry. When Kubrick was alive and working on A.I., one of the bands he envisioned for that particular scene was Ministry. So after he died, and Spielberg continued making A.I., he still used Ministry, and I think that is the only music video Spielberg has directed.
Last night after blogging, I watched another movie from my DVR. This time, it wasn't one I have never seen, but one from my youth which I haven't seen in forever. I am speaking of The Neverending Story.
I remember going to see this at the drive in. I also remember being slightly scared of The Nothing. Even at 10 years old, the movie seemed different to me. That "different-ness" I now recognize as it being a mostly European production. It just give off that vibe. I also didn't realize until last nite that it was director Wolfgang Petersen's first English language film.
Today at the theatres I saw Moonrise Kingdom. I've seen all of Wes Anderson's movies (except Bottle Rocket) in theatres, and am always excited when they play here. I REALLY enjoyed this one.
After that, I saw Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. I was a bit let down by this one. It seemed that they deviated more from the book than I was expecting.
After dinner, I finally got to watch part 1 of The Hatfields & The McCoys. I thought this was going to be an OK mini-series to watch, but thus far, it has exceeded my expectations.
Just waiting for True Blood to start. I'm recording that new HBO show The Newsroom, but will be watching The Great Escape. It looks pretty interesting.
Here's another song I recorded at the Mogwai show....
The Merriam-Webster Word of the Day:
borborygmus\bor-buh-RIG-mus\
noun, plural borborygmi
: intestinal rumbling caused by moving gas

Until next time, my SG Lovelies...
