2 days til the Jack White show!!
First day back to work after a three day weekend, and it was pretty much like a Monday. Meaning I was in zombie mode for a good portion of the day.
The part of the day I was most looking forward to was dinner. One of my favourite restaurants in town is called Smoke and Spice, which is a southern BBQ place. They moved from their old location to a new larger location earlier this year. The owners are opening a new restaurant in the old location, and for the past few days they've been having a private invite only preview. Grand opening is on Thursday. My buddy got an invite, so a bunch of us went to check it out. The new restaurant is called Sweet T's Soul Cookin' and is southern comfort food. Most of the entrees are fried chicken. I started off with an appetizer of beef jerky. Homemade and GOOD. My meal was an order of fried chicken and waffles. Damn fucking good fried chicken. Add to that knocking a good portion of two pitchers of beer out, and I am stuffed. Definitely will be going back.
Oh. A very cute lady with a very sexy accent that works at the indie coffee shop I go to get my hot choclates from works there too.
