OK - Back in Germany again. Showing off the new crop of kids to the in-laws. Spring is late this year in the whole northern hemisphere it seems, but I'm ok with it because SoCal changes your idea of seasons. Good friends, good food, good drinks, and raising the next generation: it's all so humbling. We often feel responsible for the bad things in our lives, but not so much for the good things. The good things just require more planning, that's all.

There's more drama with most all my German friends; more break ups and separations. My favorite couple has gone down this really insane path, but I love them both so much it's hard to figure out who's the crazy one here. They're journey is not over yet. There's really only one couple that's still together and they are more fun than ever (kids the same age, that helps!)

Anyway, try to stay sane; stop and look around, smell the flowers, you know. It all goes on whether you want it to or not.

Oi! Halloween already!?! Where does the time go. Had a great summer and a kick ass trip to Germany. Got to see 3 St. Pauli matches!! I'm so spoiled. Too many friends having relationship troubles. Two of my favorite people in the whole world and they're separating after 11 years. It really hurts to see things like that. I wish I could show them their love through my eyes. But, who knows. Maybe this will be the best for both of them and they'll do better apart. Only time will tell. Fingers crossed and best of luck to them.

Me, I couldn't be happier right now. I'm working too much, but that just means I can play that much harder when it's over. I'm already making plans...

Don't you love it when your summer keeps filling up with fun stuff? It's kinda like being in line for a roller-coaster. You know the fun's coming, you just have to shuffle along until it's your turn. Now that my boys almost 1, we've got first birthday parties to go to every weekend for all his friends, but that's always more fun for the parents! It's gonna be a great summer!

Stuck in a condor in the freezing rain and wind. But hey, at least i'm on the beach right. At least I've got all the SGs to keep me warm. It's a bit like sailing sometimes, but there's no warm cozy cabin to snuggle into here, just some plastic sheeting and a blanket. Damn I love my job. I can see into the house across the street and there's a baby about the same age as mine and I want to be home like nothin' else. Oh well, only a few more hours and, oow, I think the rain's lettin' up too....

is it winter already? Well at least the days will be getting longer. The holidays were great; stayed in town and everyone came to see me for a change, a new baby helps of course. Almost 8 months old now and going strong. Still the good life, but I'm back to work soon so he'll only get me on weekends mostly. It's tough when they're young. Next time I should figure a way to take off for the first two years! Hmmmm, I better get to work...

Oh it's been too long! The birth went perfectly and he's 2 months old now! Sure life is a little different, but different isn't bad. He's a great kid and he's got everything in the world he needs. It's been a great summer so far and I just gotta say life is good. No worries. Sleep? Who needs sleep anyway?

Sitting in the kitchen of my great new apartment, the sun's just starting to light the sky and I'm finally updating my SG! My wife's due in about a week now so I hope the delay is understandable. It's been a pretty good spring here in LA and it just seems to get better and better. Now that the new apartment is pretty well squared away I hope to do some sailing and a lot more windsurfing, but I can't go away too far. I'm really looking forward to fatherhood. Seems you're nervous for the first 8 months, but now I'm just ready for it. Totally confident. It's pretty crazy seeing that critter movin around inside her belly. Amazing! I think I'll go curl back up with her now....

No longer living on a boat, but I want to sail more than ever now. Working too much and weekends filled with building furniture, yum! The seasons roll on. Gotta go buy a lamp now and build some bookcases. Maybe I'll go surfing later. Love that LA weather!

I know a lot of places in the world get really cold and to the people that live there, you have my sympathy. But my home's in So Cal so i got no business freezing my ass off in Hamburg, Germany. Alas, here I am. And it's FREEZING! Yeah, i know, you can't enjoy the summer if you don't suffer the winter. 2 more weeks, fingers crossed, i'll make it. At least SG keeps me warm.

Happy Solstice all! Lets not forget the real reason for the season: we celebrate the days getting longer again! (northern hemisphere anyway!) Peace, love joy and happiness to all in the coming year, but new years isn't until March 21; oh well. Gotta love our calender.
