So it was a fuckin' wierd day. My company laid some people off today. It's first time I've ever been through layoffs. The guy in the office next to where I was sitting got a phone call, and he's like, "Well, I'm got called upstairs. Nice knowing you guys." Ten minutes later, he was escorted back down, and then he said goodbye and was gone. It was so weird that one minute, you had a job, and the next minute, through no real fault of your own, you didn't. Maybe I'm naive, but I've always wanted to kind of find of place where I can find my niche, and stay working at the same place for the rest of my career. Plus, I found out they may go through another round of layoffs in February. How in the hell can you feel comfortable at a place like this? This whole "life in the real world" things sucks.
