One final project done and one to go.I really have no desire to create a Flash game mostly because I don't know how to do animation in Flash and of all the languages I've ever coded in, ActionScript is the most arbitrary and irritating.
My concept is essentially Frogger but with a tugboat towing a barge instead of a frog and boats and whales instead of logs and alligators. Also you have to go back and forth across the screen four times and it's timed. So basically it's a less fun/more frustrating version of Frogger with worse graphics than the original. My original idea for the title was Hafenschlepper-Weltmeisterschaft but it occurred to me that a game about towing things with a tugboat seemed like a game the Japanese would make so it is now called Eisen no Kokusaiteki Chou Taikai which translates as International Super Tournament of Towing.

I'm going to be busy pretty busy for the next two or three weeks because I've got two final projects due in three weeks.
The first one is a rudimentary black metal themed blogging platform I'm calling Trve Kvlt Nekroblog. It's basically a shitty greyscale version of Blogger. I'm actually pretty far along with creating the actual pages but I still have a lot of PHP and SQL to write. I've still got to code the write function, edit function, delete function, date formatting, and post filtering.

It's basically a really slow version of Frogger in which you push barges across a harbor while avoiding obstacles like islands, piers, buoys, speed boats, tankers/cargo ships, and whales. It's going to be really lo-fi retro, like Atari or Intellivision. If I have the time I'm also going to add really cheesy music and sound effects.

I started taking my medication again. Time to feel motivated and "happy". Hopefully I'll feel like doing something other than listening to music on YouTube.
I applied for a job as a screen printer. Didn't get the job. They said they may be hiring another printer in the next few months so I've got my fingers crossed. I don't really have any work experience because I've spent most of my summers taking summer courses. Because I don't have experience I don't get hired and because I don't get hired I don't get experience. So instead I sit here on the couch with my dog with the TV on surfing the internet.
