man, i'm shit-broke right now.

i've been on the "top ramen diet" for the past three, four days, now. and due to some little snafu at the bank, i'm not sure if i get paid tomorrow or friday. at least i can see the horizon, though. all i have to do is make it through today/tonight at work. oh well, at least i can keep my girlish figure. heh.

recording's going well; i still have a little left to do. hopefully, sometime in august, i can send my record to get mastered. while the record's being mastered, i'll get copies of the 7" pressed up, and hopefully play a few shows in the interim. i want to have the album out by november, but goddamn, that might be a stretch. there are some pretty rad developments that i can't quite talk about yet, but i'm super-stoked for if they come to fruition.

sometimes, i feel as though i have a ton on my plate: fresh cherries from yakima (band AND blog), making beats for 5 o'clock shadowboxers, working on a book of "poetry" (i put it in quotations because i feel pretentious saying that i'm an aspiring poet), and having a full-time job. there are just not enough hours in the day to get everything done, but i suppose being too busy now will pay off soon enough.

plus, it keeps my mind off of having been single for a year-and-a-half.
