I doubt that anyone remembers any of my previous blogs about getting a promotion, mainly because they are so few and far between. But I ended up getting it finally. I'm now in management, which came with a 20% raise plus commission. Since I'm just starting in it, I have a lot of bitch work to do now. But most importantly, my foot is in the door, my checkbook is bigger, and "Manager" is on my resume. Everything else in my life is pretty much the same. This is both a good thing and a bad thing. Good because I have a wonderful family, fantastic friends, and my car is somehow still running. Bad because I'm single still. I've been single for waaaay too long now. It never really bothered me but I've had a lot of friends getting engaged, married, and having kids. I just want someone to share a nice dinner and conversation with.
